Opinions on heavy object?

I liked it. Fun show not meant to be taken too seriously. Liked the main characters (Havia more than Qwenthur, who has the standard Harem MC denseness when it comes to women). Lots of cute girls, which is a bonus. Also didn't mind the mecha designs unlike some others.

Sadly it's not discussed much here on /m/.

A friend recently introduced me to it. I thought it was pretty good although not outstanding.

Likewise, fun buddy-cop show with giant mechs running around. Hero wins with brains rather than HOT BLOODED COURAGE which is fine under the right circumstances but in sci-fi it comes out contrived or silly. You always knew they'd win in the end but the fun was figuring out how.

As for discussing it, most people only post on 4chan to complain and considering that most HO threads have been positive I'd have to say that HO must by some kind of super mecha anime.

The characters were what killed it for me. Way too much moralfagging from the main characters, it's frustrating to get the whole "war is bad" message slapped in your face and then have the same characters go on to kill a bunch of guys. Then there's all those cliche scenarios with the main characters acting autistic as fuck around women just so some cheap retarded joke can get made.

Of course any mecha series would make most physicists tear their hair out, but the whole"It only takes two guys to break this thing." is really really dumb. Like most countries already have a plethora of counter weapons and teams specifically made to hit any ONE weapon that empowers your enemies. So the idea that these guys are some how super special enough to think of this first is thin ice(Internal ConsistEncy). Also the heavy weapons are pretty bad design wise, it's like im reading Gantz again and someone just found blender's copy-paste tool.

Not so much the metal (which in real life would have to be aluminium and even then hollow). And actually as far as structures go, spheres are pretty bad in gravity based environments, domes or semi-spheres are better, but even then triangular and square architecture(like you know buildings) are superior. Heck even a humanoid shapes is reasonable under a certain size(not gundam big duh). It's mainly the fact that the whole deal with heavy objects is that they are a kilometre tall or some shit. Ironically if they were closer to gundam (18 metres i think) you might be able to get away with the solid metal sphere design. This of course ignores how you are supposed to move the damn thing.
