Best Mech film of all time?

Yeah probably.

T2 is the best movie about a boy and his robot friend.
It's the best Superman film of all time.
And I don't say that because the new film sucked, it's just the best regardless.
>>14069786
Pretty much. I never saw a mech film that actually made me cry till Iron Giant.
>>14069786
That's not MD Geist. Fuck off with your /comblr/ shit.
>>14069786
It's good but not the best, really. Lots and lots of nostalgiafags love it though
>>14074101
What is the best then?
>>14074094
The only thing Geist has going for it is its action scenes, and that's not saying much.
>>14069786
sure...or Robocop.

probably not the card you want to throw around on this board

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as a Mech, is in fact, メカニカル, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Mecha. Mecha is not a genre unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning concept made manifest by the existence of vehicles, military equipment and of course, robots, comprising a full concept as defined by MAHQ.
Many posters use a modified definition of the メカニカル term every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of メカニカル which is widely used today is often called Mech, and many of its posters are not aware that it is basically the Robotech term, developed by Harmony Gold.
So unless discussing Robotech or Battletech please refer to giant robots as "Mecha" and always remember to lurk before posting
Iron Giant is good
But Ideon: Be Invoked is the GOAT
