The last shot of Vader emerging from the temple was perfect. I love how they resolved this whole story. Massive death, but it wasn't predictable at all, and fuck if that music at the end wasn't top notch.

Ezra manages to come out of it okay, but he loses his lightsaber and ends up very angry about the whole thing, the ending implying he's starting to fall to the dark side.

Vader can actually survive without the suit for lengthy periods of time by channeling his rage to keep himself alive.
Hell, look at Episode III.

His entire backstory/character is that he was a Padawan when Order 66 went out and he was only ever a trainee, not an actual Jedi and has to bear the burden of being a Jedi now without the training or experience because he has someone else (Ezra) who needs him to be - along with the galaxy. He was a kid when the purge happened and his Master hid him in a bush while it happened if I recall, after which he spent a week trying to find help and two or so decades running away from the entire thing.

But yes, that shot of Vader descending along with the shot of him with a broken mask and him leaving the collapsed temple as smoke billowed were all great.

So they've explained that Ahsoka wasn't helping the Rebellion in the films because she's either ded or... something.

And Kanan is now blind and stuck being a wise mentor forever so his absence is explained.

What are they gonna do with Ezra? He lost his lightsaber but he's channeling the dark side pretty hardcore. Even if he goes full edge he wouldn't just join the Empire or whatever.
