Well, you can still buy it for your smartphone since it has an android port, or emulate via bluestacks, or play it on an IPhone, whatever.

Mind that it's a remaster that uses the old Mobile version as base so the sfx are a bit different from the SFC original version and some of the sprites are worse that the SFC original, luckily the music is high quality for some reason though, unlike the old Mobile music.
So far it's a pretty decent remaster with much needed bugfixes and some neat extras for new players, if you can do grab it.

It was more the culmination of multiple circumstances.

There was also that one story about Midorikawa wanting Demonbane in a SRW (long before UX) and constantly bugging the staff about it. It's also known Midorikawa does enjoy playing chuu2 characters like Master Therion. Shurouga itself was a old discarded concept that had been lying around since the Granzon/Cybuster days of the series so they just all sort of melded together into a stage for Midorikawa to just be silly.

There's a pretty nicely made so far SRC scenario that uses 64 as one of the SRW series playing a part among other licensed series (those being 2, C3 and R), and Ark's the chosen 64 main to head the story and essentially be the MC.

A lot of things fun with that scenario, honestly, though on the 64 side of things the only things I can really note is that after Ark upgrades, the rival character upgrades into the A mech related to their line of robots. Also one of the 64 villains is the one to off Duminass before she forces Despinis to be absorbed.

This still leaves us with well over sixty playable units. Let's use some of the space to put in Eureka Seven Ao so that we can at least say we did the whole franchise in one take and make up for the Angel battle maps with that story. Do whatever rewrites are necessary to make it good, make some use of the retcon gun regarding dimensional fuckery.

Slip Original Dancouga back in as well as King Gainer, the latter was a core fixture of Z1. Sol Gravion and God Sigma Gravion can reappear in Tengoku, but that's my personal favoritism at work.

OG story-wise, the only thing that really needs doing is to strip out all the stuff about the Angels and just focus on Advent. Advent on his own is interesting. He's a villain who makes you ridiculously happy all the time when you're around him, who himself is unable to be anything but happy even when he doesn't want to be. Doctrine and Tempti are fucking imbeciles and Sacrifi I think gets one scene in the whole game. Cut them, cut the words "beyond human comprehension" from everything, and you have a more focused antagonistic force that doesn't go into the absurdity of Space Godzilla allegedly being less comprehensible than the DAMONs in Z2, monsters that actually succeeded at being weird horrifying alien creatures.

I'd personally keep by virtue that it grants you Zero. Considering the scope of the game, having multiple characters in a designated Tactician role (as opposed to characters who sorta just fall into that role by virtue that they are the smart character or they are the veteran character) goes a long way to the world.

I agree somewhat completely. You're right about Advent; however, I wouldn't count the Angels out. I guess the problem with fixing the Angels is fixing them would require reworking Jigoku and a tad bit of Z2. Sacrifi plays a vital role as an Angel (or at least, she should, but Tengoku being Tengoku) due to being the only one particularly against the other Angels, as well as having been convicted by the Angels. This gives you two things to work with that help from a narrative stand point: she's a force against the force and there is the incentive to convince her to work with the players.
As a rough idea, Jigoku could have been about the fight against Vildark's gang with a direct revelation of the Angels at the end, as well as the revelation of Sacrifi. Cue Tengoku giving you the incentive to recruit Sacrifi, which would/could lead into the Angels, Shinka, and so-on.
The other two Angels are pretty inconsequential, though. You could probably just play Doctorine as the token character genuine in his faction's cause. But that's just a quick and rough idea on how an alternative solution could be presented through that.

You don't get the option to combine if you move the R-series next to each other. I don't know if they specifically make mention of it in-story or not.

Note that there's a stage where the SRX starts off combined. If you uncombine and recombine on this stage, that counts as a combination. HOWEVER, if you just uncombine and recombine on any stage that's not that one, it does not use up one of your uses. So on a normal stage, if you combine the SRX, decombine for whatever reason, and recombine, then that recombination doesn't count towards your ten combinations. But if you move to a different map (like on the final stage), that does count as a separate combination.

Parry doesn't block its Bazooka that's 1-7 with 3000 base and has 6 shots. It does stop the 3800 base Funnels (10 shots), but not their MAP interestingly enough.

V2AB's best attack is 3200, 1-9, and costs 60 EN by comparison and it can be stopped by Beam Cloaks. If I'm reading this upgrade sheet right, it should be either eventually passed or caught up to by Wings of Light, which costs 30 and is 2800 base - which is good because it's also not a Beam (I forget how many enemies have Beam Coats, but they are occasionally things). Interestingly both of those moves can result in MAPs, but both of those are fucking expensive.

It's slightly weaker, but it has long range on its side, and thanks to how Alpha 1 handles damage reduction at range that's a good thing (Basically, for some bizarre reason, it treats the farthest possible range as the baseline and anything closer as dealing more damage - so a 1-9 range attack at 1 range will do more than a 1 range attack at 1 range.). Its P moves are worse, but you'll be getting Double Move soon probably.

Thing to remember that I think even Z had a passing mention is that the first one we met was a outlier to begin with. Ji Edel collective was always on your side the whole time and the one we fought in Z was a rogue element. One part of the conscience that was unable to handle the knowledge everything was fucked anyway and decided to just speed up things for fun.

Thanks for reminding me how much I loved the Heavyarms and Wing Zero theme in that game. Considering it took eons before even got Heero's theme from the series forget the other themes. I wouldn't hope much for the game.
