I think the Deep Striker was designed to pierce the front lines and the fuck up the enemy battleships. Especially against a single late-UC mobile suit, I don't think the Deep Striker would stand a chance. It has tons of forward thrust and firepower, but she's got a big vulnerable booty.

Unicorn would fire a single beam magnum shot and wreck it. The Deep Striker's got I-field generators, but they're ten years out of date. And unlike the Neo Zeong, it's only got two instead of four.

The Deep Striker is a space Xamel. It does have the beam smartgun but its really supposed to be cannoning small fleets on its own.

It can't even dump its parts in a pinch like the GP03, most of its heavy shit is bolted onto it.

The Ex-S gundam would be more effective in a combat against other mobile suits.

It looks cool at a first glance, but when you look into the details, it's actually a very bad unit. It has a horrible mass-to-thrust ratio and can't maneuver worth a damn.

I've always disliked how vulnerable a ship is in UC shows. One MS can one-shot a cruiser.

Heck. Sinanju and Rosen Zulu single handedly kicked the arse of the supposedly great flagship General Revil and the whole MS squadron by themselves.

I think "Ex-S vs. later UC gundam" is the more fair matchup. While the Deep Striker is more anti-fleet, the Ex-S is fast, maneuverable, well-defended (thanks to reflector incom and an MS-sized I-field) and has 360-degree point defense. It seems much better equipped for an MS vs. MS fight.

Cannot purge the boosters, BUT the boosters are mounted better than the Deep Striker. They are on joints and can be repositioned while the Deep Striker's boosters are stationary.
