I was kinda disappointed at how it all ended but I liked the whole series and it could've been worse, so I can't really complain.

Lies. I do have one complain. The lack of a full squad combination attack to beat Mythos Willwear.

I actually liked how they did it with Police procedural things like negotiation and meditation with the criminal.

So, any info on s2?

Expecting main characters change of position in second season

>─ this work is scheduled for the second cool July. Can you tell us the highlights of the expansion towards the readers who are looking forward to there?

>Taniguchi First, say as defunct misunderstanding, this work is not a split 2 cool. The first is one season and the second season. However, because the misunderstanding had spread big time, it is currently Arakawa-san during the adjustment. Once, the second season I will try to easy to see and bring a little more around the black cavalry's. At the same, it may be will change the Toka standing position Toka standpoint some of the characters. It might be recovered and circumstances that had spread rose to this at that time. However, since there is no intention of the change to enjoy the elements and enjoy the roots, we hope people who enjoyed the first season is also your relationship.

I found this whole thing to be incredibly milktoast.

I guess if you're big into Toku, it's better, but I just couldn't get into the characters either apart from the cool old guy.

And Mythos was a really crappy antagonist.
>>
>>14036739
Can't make possible former-villains-turned-allies for the next season too villainous.

>>
>>14036739
Dudes working on the show almost literally said "we want to make something that can be watched in a relaxed way, without thinking too much" and this is what they did. If you were expecting something with more meat, then sure. It isn't that. But we really don't get shows like these anymore (instead we get either much better or much worse stuff).
>>
>>14036739
Even as a fan of the series, I admit Mythos wasn't a good antagonist. Still, I liked a few of the situations he provoked.

>>14036869

Speculating about him joining the team sounds weird to me, but if he did, the guy's personality would have to change a lot.
>>
>>14037410
He's probably in jail and going to turn a new leaf now. He surrendered, and although he probably did commit damages in the billions by locking the stock market up, he didn't go around killing people.
>>
>>14037397
>we want to make something that can be watched in a relaxed way, without thinking too much"

Show was really comfy despite showing a realistic world of IoT.
>>
>>14035568
I actually wanted "edgy kid being corrected by police " ending and suprisingly this happened along with Kazari understanding the Nakama power.
>>
>>14037397
It does help that Arakawa generally does work on Sentai (which is comfortably formulaic at times, when not really weird or scaring you).
>>
>>14037455
Not directly, he did a lot with the other people with the Willwears and started a Heaven's Gate cult at an age most kids are learning to read and do basic addition.

He really needs more than the double threat of siscon and lolicon if he's going to turn over a new leaf, I think.
>>
>>14037497
Pretty much. It's quite Sentai-like, right from the start but even more once the group gets all the power armors.

All of which is not exactly cutting edge material in today's anime industry.

It's a show that, honestly speaking, would probably work better with live action actors (and it could afford to be weirder that way too) .
>>
>>14037510
I think the crazy suicide cult was started by his parents, who probably just used their little smart boy as a puppet figure messiah. He himself probably didn't really understand what shit was going on.

Good Police Fun/10.

If there is one thing I feel, it's that episode 6 should be shared as much as possible to all robot lovers. That episode should be put on a list of "episodes that remind you why you're a /m/an" or something.

>>14037778
>That episode should be put on a list of "episodes that remind you why you're a /m/an" or something

If you have bad taste in /m/ series, then sure.
>>
>>14037797
I referring to the message and overall themes of the episode, not so much that it was a crazy mecha episode that everyone needs to see. Obviously there are better mecha episodes out there, but this one had that special "yup, this is why I love mecha" feeling.
>>
>>14037844
Don't worry about it. I agree with you. Pretty cool episode.

It sucks that the final fight was only 1 minute, but the show was ok enough to make me interested in s2. Mythos' armor was cool.

No idea for now. Might perhaps later get mentioned on the Active Raid twitter or the website. Might need to check out the list of sponsors at the end of the OP songs to see which one of them make plastic toys.
So far, I do know that Flying Dog is responsible for the music CDs and the anime disc sales, and I think Bushiroad might also be one of the Active Raid partners production committee.

I've seen a lot of people said this but the whole thing just won't work.
>Most action will take place on rock quarries instead of urban area

With low budget anime, anything can still happen because it's just a drawing anyway, but live action?

I realize Active Raid used a lot of toku writers. But this whole
>It was poorly suited as an anime, and should have been an anime
line, (like the one you are responding to) is just silly. The show was inspired by Patlabor, and lead up by the Gun X Sword guy. It works just fine as an anime, and probably wouldn't be anywhere near as relaxing and laid back as anime. Plus it would be hard to do things like the willwears, the world building, etc as live action.
>>
>>14043762
I'd say Active Raid is a Super Sentai show wearing a Patlabor mask, rather than a Patlabor show wearing a Super Sentai uniform. Which explains why those who expected the political content to get into Patlabor 2 levels of depth, for example, were barking up the completely wrong tree.

Glossary update for Episode 12 of Active Raid. This will be the last one until summer.
In actuality, nothing too fancy.

The access rights to the top-level authority for the national public information system which governs the entire Japanese society is normally restricted to the Chief Cabinet Secretary.

The American Carrier Strike Group that the United States sent en route to Japan consists of around 10 vessels. 5 ships with submarine escorts and troop ships, which is of course considered a formidable military force on par with the airforce of most small and medium-sized nations, capable of controlling the waters in their vicinity.

The US sent its carrier strike group to Japan for humanitarian aid, since international communication with Japan practically ceased to exist when Mythos successfully hacked into the O-Ro-Chi and took control over all communication networks. Only older wireless still worked, which heavily limited the world's ability to know what the heck was going on in Japan, and their own diplomats and envoys could not contact their own nations.

Many other countries surrounding Japan of course immediately sent aircraft to survey Japan, but were deterred by the USDF, and thus, had to wait and rely upon reports of the US Carrier Strike Group for news what actually happened in Japan.

And then explanation how the Vernam Cypher works, what a jamming system is, what a backdoor is, and what patches are.

why was Asami's ass so huge and why is there no porn of this show?
>>
>>14052161
There is some on pixiv. As for porn doujins, well, those take more time to create.

Also, it is quite possible that most porn doujins of it is made by women for women, featuring the men in this show doing gay men things together. While in willwear.
Protection is important.
As God intended.

Taniguchi interview on the Active Raid website
http://activeraid.net/special/

There's an explanation about why the action in the show centers on around Kichijōji (because of the collaboration with the movie Abunai Deko and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police), how he hopes that people normally not interested in anime will also watch Active Raid, how the production committee is working hard to make this show possible and so on. And of course thank yous to all the fans.
