Nitro+'s biggest name on that project was Ni0
He did a fantastic job. Evil Bushido Gunbusterbane is the sickest shit.
The other two people credited under Nitro+ are freelancers, so I'm guessing Nitro+ just outsourced the roles to them.
There's also Makoto Ishiwata, but he's designs have always been sorta rubbish to me.

Use my customs files as a base (the new SRC version also added some example text files in the ローカル)

1) Go to the data\ローカル folder, put the unit and pilot in the Robot.txt and pilot.txt respectively

(For Plus/Cross mode)
2) Open eve\CustomUnits.eve, find the big chunk of text where it goes

and add in an additional 3 lines corresponding to your new units

(For original mode you want to look at include\ローカル出現.eve)

If the unit/pilot defines its own special abilities that isn't in the base game, you'll have to make sure you correct them for SRC standards.

Bullshit, stages 6-10 all have SEED things going on, and it's the main focus in all of those except Blade's debut. Hell, stages 6 and 7 are literally nothing but SEED plot.

That is actually true, Cobray does indeed have the highest damage in the game far as the originals go, even within the entire cast he is in the top 5.

I also remember some weird things with the top end damage values in @3 like Tallgeese just being stronger than Wing Zero and Dairaioh/GGGG actually being pretty weak? Though the latter still retains the title of the highest event damage in the game series.

I'm aware. But in the other games that share its version of the twin system, you pretty much had to pair your combo attackers with support units or grunt-killers to make combos worthwhile. L wasn't really an issue in that regard since plenty of those units were worth bringing to the finale, but UX wasn't quite so kind about it.

In particular, L gave you an excuse to bring all the minor Linebarrel units. UX didn't have Final Phase, and also gave most of the Linebarrel cast proper finishers. So you couldn't just bring all the Machina as combo squad filler.

I've done it in @3 and OGG, both of which predate Z. And in @3 it was a pretty loose interpretation since it was just "female squad leaders".

It's pretty doable in any game that has both Z and ZZ with their full casts. But yeah, it does tend to get Gundam-centric. It's a lot easier in games that let you have a female MC since the MC is always overpowered.
I've done this sort of run in SRW64 and it went pretty well. The hit/dodge ratios are pretty harsh in that game, which favors the usage of reals over supers, so it's just as well that you have to rely on Gundams anyway. You can get Cecily and the F91 right away by connecting with that Game Boy game, which is very useful. And Maria is actually the best Mazinger pilot in it because of her overpowered ESP skill, even in a normal run you definitely want to put her in Great Mazinger and bench Tetsuya forever. The same skill also makes Ginrei Robo one of the best units in the game.
I've also done this run in Alpha Gaiden, but the way the cast gets scattered forced me to solo a lot of stages with Jun in Great. Four, Purus and Xabungle girls were useful later on.

The only unit I've found where the two or more combo-involved unit finishers outdo their combo MIGHT be Triple Generation, because Flit outdamages his version with the nuke - but he has less uses of the nuke than he does his combo, and AGE-2 probably more than reverses it on its own.

Not a bad idea, since one of the most busted endgame setups for Humes is Paladin/Fighter with Dual Wield, Sequencer, Excalibur2, and Peytral. With a bunch of levels in Thief/Ninja to keep their Speed from being complete shit anyways.

The other option is Hunter/Anything because Sidewinder was broken as fuck. Or Blue Mage/White Mage for an unstoppable support unit.

When FE Fates came out in Japan, one of the early streamers played on Phoenix Mode. If you're not familiar with Fates, Phoenix is the Super Duper Easy Mode that resurrects all your characters the turn after they die.

Having played difficulty mods where that battle was toned up, having Wiggy die in 2 hits is infinitely preferable to a slow, 15 minutes slog where you have to gear very specifically to prevent all of his possible status conditions like randomly proc'd Dead that you will have to go through all over again if you lose to Velius after that.

Really, 1v1 scenarios in SRPGs built for party play is almost impossible to make interesting anyway
