I think the best thing about Decade is how convincingly truly over-the-top and larger than life he is. I'm sure everyone's noticed, but he makes some truly, TRULY corny and cheesy speeches. But he carries himself with such charisma and confidence that he manages to take those ridiculous speeches and actually sound cool. He's like an anime character in physical human form. And Masahiro just nails it. You don't really get Riders like that anymore. You'll never hear any other Heisei Rider say "We fight for humanity's freedom" and actually sound cool when he does it. Haruto goes on about how he's the "last hope", but he lacks Tsukasa's charisma. Gentaro's all about friendship, but his personality's too silly so he lacks that "cool hero" factor.

Decade is a Showa Rider in Heisei form. Tendou was pretty close, but I wouldn't call his speeches heroic.

I don't think it will all be reboots. They will do whatever they find possible to do.

Amazons was most likely a reboot because Amazon's original actor is retired and won't return, unlike Fujioka whose show got a sequel movie instead. They seem intent on getting civilian actors, so an Amazon sequel that is just a voiceover by someone would probably not be Amazon's original actor anyway wouldn't be good enough.

Provided others get new content as well, we could see a multitude of things happen for the anniversary. Like Stronger would need to be a reboot. V3 could be a sequel but with a new Riderman.

Only exception is Rider 2. Would be dumb to reboot him while sequelizing Rider 1. So he will remain untouched until they can get his actor to be comfortable enough to be on screen again after being burned in a house fire. I hope he does. Not to be pushy, but it would be a shame not to have Ichimonji celebrated and left being a scrawny shrimp.

The original series pretty much adapted that story, only removing the romance scene (where it's also revealed that the female scientist overseeing Cobra was a monster too in the manga). Kind of. You should definitely watch Kuuga before Agito. The direct connection is dropped pretty quickly, but the G3 project is in-canon based on "Unidentified Life-Form #4" and was originally designed to fight the Gurongi. Hell, MPD SAUL stands for Squad Against Unidentified Lifeform.

The concept of AU Riders came from the producer, not the original main writer. I kind of feel like Sho Aikawa wasn't comfortable with using him as a replacement Kuuga, and so mostly kept him as a civilian support character. After Sho Aikawa leaves, there's also the four Inoue episodes, where he basically doesn't do anything. He only starts transforming consistently near the end of the series when Yonemura takes over, but by then it's too little and too late.

Agito makes some references to Kuuga but nothing that really matters in the bigger picture.

However, W does reveal some background plot points in the crossover with Decade which also serves as Decade's epilogue, so make sure to have finished Decade when you get to that movie. I didnt understand shit from the Decade part on my first watching.

While Accel's family was killed by the Weather Dopant. They were frozen to death.

Drive's dad was killed by Freeze who marked his dad in the back of his neck with a Snowflake.

The difference is, Accel's backstory doesnt come out of no where while Drive literally never mentions his dad until an episode before they go into his backstory.

Hard to say if it really improved, in my opinion. So far, this is the weakest of all Heisei Rider shows. The only reason I haven't dropped it is because it's Kamen Rider, and I'm hoping the ending arcs pull it back up some.

So where does kabuto stand in everyone's rankings? I just finished it and was super let down by the last third of the series, it seemed so rushed. However, up to that point it was one of my favorite series so far, although all I've watched is neo hesei.

Moved onto Den-o, loving how its the complete opposite to kabuto in tone.

In terms of story, it is one of the dumbest out of all Rider shows. Like, top three most stupid plots in the franchise, just below Kiva and Decade. Kiva's is just plain terrible while Decade's is hilariously haphazard and poorly executed. Kabuto's story, however, is just retarded. You can almost feel your brain melting if you pay any amount of attention to it. It is a vapid fifty episodes of stupid.

That being said, the characters and action are fine. Terrible, TERRIBLE juggling of characters, which one character pissing off in the middle of the show while another's actor getting sick during an important subplot so some random nobody had to be introduced to take her place. Some character motivations are all over the fucking place. But it's still really not the worst you could do.
