Ein has, like, a dozen or more fucking AV outputs. Mika's 3 whiskers still output through 1 single cord - Ein has three similar in/out cables between his shoulder-blades alone. Nevermind the base of the spine, the base of the skull, or his shoulders. Guy is going to have super-human reflexes. I expect him to cut bullets in half midair with those axes.

Why are the preview images always 'characters looking at something'? It's like whoever takes them never intended the viewers to get excited for the coming episode.

It's not even the AV advantage, they've had it so ridiculously fucking easy that it almost beggars belief that Ein could be a threat even after being turned into a hedgehog. Really, I just feel as though they've written themselves into a corner, even with a character so simple. If he suddenly tears Tekkadan to pieces, even with the AV business people will be disbelieving because all he did previously was ramble about his cheap Ramba Ral knock-off and get his shit kicked in. If he doesn't, or if he just kills one or two forgettable side characters and then Mika stomps him into the dirt like almost everyone else they've faced, then people will decry it as the ultimate waste of an upgrade and a character anyway.

I loled heartily when Akihiro interrupted their posing in the episode before and she and her squad were systematically getting torn apart by Mika, Shiino, and Akihiro before Carta crumbled the Biscuit, really only succeeding in activating Mika's berserker mode. It's likely the same reason why Tekkadan does not appear to have an infantry component (apart from the guys in the space battle.) They don't want to show kids getting machine-gunned, so they all drive Mobile Workers which are basically light tanks.
