Yeah, unless they change the timeslot to an even less favourable one S2 is not airing October. Changing the slot would be ratings suicide though, since even with a pretty much prime-time slot, where everything before it and after it gets higher ratings than it, it's getting less that 2.0% in almost all the demographics. So no S2.
Unless IBO S2 will be an exclusive online only sort of thing like Thunderbolt

When they make a TV series, they generally base the core of it around some strategy to cash in. Wing was trying to go after Fujos, AGE and SEED were attempts to pull in newer, younger audiences and give them their own First Gundam. IBO seems pretty solidly aimed to grab the west.

Gundam will never reach the level of household knowledge that, say, Transformers enjoys. The cost of making a series is astronomical compared to what they hope to gain from a group who doesn't buy BDs, has almost zero dedicated fanbase compared to Japan, barely buys models, and even within that group they largely remember Gundam as Wing plus some other stuff?

Maybe teens in Japan love shitty drama too, who'dathunkit? Maybe after seeing that popularity was starting to pick up, like Origin manga, and decided to make a dub for whatever next Gundam series came out? Maybe the streaming is their new norm instead of an exception specifically for IBO?
But nah they probably focused their series that airs in Japan and has x10000 more (paying) fans in Japan at the US, a group they have consistently ignored and misinterpreted for decades.

Which is enough to warrant a dub, not a fucking series. All that shit you just described is a fraction of a percent of their sales. Simulcasting is basically free and B&N (hasn't been selling like crazy, although still decently, not to mention B&N already had board games and nerd toys/plushies and manga so Gunpla isn't a random choice) works through a distributor. The Origin did well for manga but that's not saying much in the category of graphic novels. Hell, the surrounding Asian countries draw in a hell of a lot more profit and I don't see a series aimed at them.

And hell, IBO getting the dub no doubt has more to do with it getting promoted in Japan more than G-Reco or either Build Fighters show. Those shows didn't get the prestige timeslot IBO enjoys, nor do they get the same variety of merchandise.

They want IBO to sell more in Japan than either of those shows by a long shot. They're not going to fuck over domestic sales just to in an attempt to gain a foothold in the West. Hell, there was probably more thought about appealing to the West in SEED's production due to Wing's recent success than there is in IBO.
