I use my Gunpla to recreate epic crossover battles,complete with making bad vocal impersonations of each pilot,and I make up retarded reasons for why they`re fighting.I tend to do this very often.It begins when I`m browsing teh chinz,then I see my Sazabi on the shelf.Then I also see the Qubeley,that`s also there.I realize that Char has come back in time using his newtype hax to get some delicious loli ass,in the form of Mineva.The only thing standing in his way is Haman.And he really wants to fuck her up for raping him in the battle for Grypps.I get out of my chair and pick up the Gunpla,pretending they`re both flying along the outside of a colony.Then the Sazabi pulls out his beam rifle and I make pew-pew noises as Char tries to beam spam Haman.Then I realize both suits have FANNARU!!!!!!!!,with that in mind I put down both Gunpla and pull out the detachable funnels.Needless to say I lose a lot of fucking parts.

I don't think of myself as an autistic person, but I do think of them as my "spirit animal." It used to baffle me that people here use it as a put-down. The fun for me is assembling and painting the kit, gaining a better understanding of the mecha design and applying my own craftsmanship to it.

The polycaps are so the figure is posable, not necessarily so you can "play" with it. Which by that I assume you mean making gunpla fight like action figures or something. I'm sorry but that sounds really weird, I haven't done that since I was maybe 5 or 6 and played with army men toys. I put a lot of work and effort into the kits (perhaps that qualifies as autism), so I don't want to be bashing them around once I've completed the kit.

They put way more time and detail into that stuff, with a lot less "fun" factor (gimmicks, posing, extra armaments etc) and still do it.

When I play with my gunpla, I just put them on action bases and make them run around pointing guns at each other. MAYBE some make it past the firefights to close combat and I bother to replace their hands with saber/hawk parts.

Really, they're never even contacting each other. One is just in each hand making noises and poses at the other, like in Toy Story.
The worst abuse they take is that I pull the arm out of the shoulder socket or the calf off of the knee since those are traditionally the easiest parts to remove/replace from an HGUC short of the head or hands.

I came near-directly from an (abortive) tabletop wargame schtick as a kid into gunpla and never looked back.

Thusly I'd form little teams of Zeeks and Feddies and they'd have shit to do, or just plain hunting for each other.

If I ever saw a war flick, the gunpla would be back out onto their bases to simulate it.

If I was feeling particularly autistic and had an assload of time after school I'd pop out some d6 and invent an impromptu ruleslite wargame and make them fight like that.

Really in your case it's all about how your imagination is and whether or not you wanted specifically gunpla in "military" situations or if you were satisfied with taking one favored gundam in a game and then hunting mooks from there with it.

One of the guys who used to work for Games Workshop actually made one. I've never actually done a playtest of it and it doesn't look to be as expanded as UC came to be later but it seems very good for vanilla 0079.

He made it to play with his MSiA actual-action figures, but I believe it would translate very well to HGUC if you expanded the field a little bit.

Also, sometimes I stiff my forearm pretending it holds a cyber gun inside. Doesn't help that in my free time I work with a group of people working on medical devices and prosthetics and one of our products is a 3d-printable prostethic forearm, sometimes I dream of losing my forearm in an accident and proudly say "Don't worry, I can rebuild myself".

When I'm just walking about in privates, usually in my kitchen, I like to stick out my arms in an L shape facing down, and arm pump up and down like I'm Rumble of G1 transformers ground pounding

When I'm alone in my car, I play Uchuu Renai on repeat when I get on the highway at night and pretend I'm piloting a starship as a spacer going to and from one star system to the next.
