Because they don't have any more arcs left in them. All Genjuro probably has left is a romcom subplot or dying tragically to show off how evil the villain is sorta like how Fine stabbed the shit outta him in S1.
And Miku has gone as far with Hibiki as is possible in this kind of anime as is possible and she already worked through one breakup do to lack of trust, rhythmically confessed her feelings which Hibiki violently accepted. So there's nothing more for her to do.

But didn't you notice GX's carnal flaw everyone had a shitty arc forced on them, especially Hibiki and the DMJii.
