Votoms Case;IRVINE -is- modern day Votoms.

Everything skates around like the Knightmare Frames in Code Geass doing flips and acrobatics off walls and even debris (at one point they're moving up and down a wall that is damn near at a vertical angle) and the final boss isn't just another AT, it's some bigass monstrosity that barely resembles an AT, sorta like if an AT was wearing a power loader exosuit.

You know, I think the animation in this was pretty sweet. The setting was also Votoms appropriate for that matter. Too bad they never made a full series in this style. As much as I appreciate Chirico as a character, the property should move beyond this perceived need to keep him around almost the entire time.

If you get that far, watch Alone Again in chronologicql, mot release order. It's the one exception to the production order rule I've found. It was made to fill in the gap between OVAs when people noticed a bizarre jump between where people were. It's an awful last watch for the Votoms story.

I really loved votoms finder's bottom ATs. They had tonnes of neat tricks packed into into them and i loved those cloth backpacks
Everything else about it was utterly forgettable though, and that was totally relena peacecraft that they were trying to save
