That is a good question one I had my self when I began to edit him out but the more I edit the more I realize that he didn't actually push any debate (at least debate you could take semi seriously at least as serious you can get with toku) in fact all if did was make us seem like ass holes by ragging on him through out most of the episode (episode was about 2 hours with him out its actually an hour and 20 min) so I feel like it would be better to have debate that sounded at least semi smart rather than have a debate that to some border on soft bullying (sort of)

It is faster paced, but it's not necessarily better. It's one of those situations where both shows do things way better than the other so it's hard to rank one above the other IMO.

While everybody complaining people at the higher end (writers, producers, etc.) aren't doing a good job in making a show, stars who used to work for Toei (especially toku) are coming out talking about not being treated as an actor, breaking rules and making bad names everywhere.
This guy Ayano Kou, who was spider orphnoch in Faiz, is now the new superstar in the business. He talked about staff not taking things seriously during filming, and made fun of him by saying "all you need to do is swing around with the toy, and say your lines".

Shinken Red's Matsuzaka also talked about his days at toei was pretty bad. The big guys at toei really has no power nor control over their crew at the filming site. While the world thinks the producer is the top guy who decides everything, the truth is the cameraman has all the priority over the directors, producers, managers. The last thing in the line is the actors.

The history of Toei isn't a bright one, especially it is run by yakuza related people back in the 80's.
Things got changed when Takatera and Shirakura started working for Toei. They actually help taken out a large chunk of the bad blood in the company. Inoue once praised Takatera for brave enough to stand up against the filming crew back in the days during Carranger, and made it a slightly better place for talented people to work with.

Too bad the trash aren't completely gone, and the higher up people still has to deal with shit all the time.

Well there were already lots of complains coming from the filming crew, excluding the main cameraman and directors he hand picked. Also refused to cooperate with the sponsors is another thing.
The guy has talent and likes to do perfect things. But then he is really bad when it comes to wasting things. One of the composers for kuuga mentioned about him spending a large chunk of production money on pieces which he thought it was cool, but ended up in the garbage in the last minute because it wasn't cool anymore. Not to mention all those last minute script changes which leads to clip shows.

Battride War Genesis is pretty nice...

I feel they really put a lot of effort into making the Showa Riders fun and representative of their style---on the other hand Drive, Mach, and Ghost are kind of off feeling.

Levels are better constructed than before and with some re-playability due to multiple paths and hidden figures, but the enemy count seems so low sometimes it's hard to really enjoy clearing mass amounts of enemies especially in the early missions.

It feels like they genuinely just didn't know what to do with his character before the writer switch happened. Past that point you can start to see better groundwork laid that results in his character getting un-fucked, but that shit's still so far on the backburner that by the time it pays off, there's only like six episodes before the end.

Originally it was to feature old riders, but the earthquake had the script changed to be more about kids teaming together in face of adversity. Apparently, the same thing happened with Gokaiger as why later on the show you get more returning actors.
