When I was first getting into toku it was one of the first things I watched I rly enjoyed it. Had a good world and a good feel to it and I enjoyed the characters and transforms. Not the best show by far but an enjoyable thing if u love toku

I remember being very hype for Gransazer because it used Matrix-like wire-fu and toku dogfights in the early episodes. Then, I got bored because the plot was bare and acting was meh.

Toei just brought back Kamen Rider

Tsuburaya was still making their year long ultraman shows

Koei toys jumped straight into toku by sponsoring the Chouseishin series

Takaratomy did Rescue Heroes and Ryukendo.

Highly recommend checking out Phone Investigator 7. This is more of a primetime J-drama, but still features enough toku effects to be considered as one.

Premise is an anti-cybercrime unit equipped with powerful AI phone-robots. Lots of fun and feels in this show. Gets really dark in some parts.

It's directed by Takashi Miike and features a few actors from KR Ryuki.

its interesting that in 7 one of the actors dies in the first episode, but they STILL show him in the opening. I dont think they bring him back for a flashback until season 2, which still has him in the opening.

It's a bit wonky, but good. It's essentially the result of some over-enthusiastic Kamen Rider Black fans deciding to do their own show. Bonus points for being written by Zyuohger's writer Komura.
