it's a solid 7, straight up. It's probably one of the most solid shows out there. It's good, not great or fantastic, but it certainly is never bad.

I don't know, it's one of the more digestible 80's series out there. No space magic, straightforward premise, good action. Hell, if they'd made it in the late 90s and with a slightly higher budget, it would be a Toonami classic.

The 2nd half is kind of stupid and it struggles to really give much in the way of plot or well written bad guys. Just like 08th MS Team

I read a Votoms doujin once, split into two parts. I thought the second would be of Mellowlink but I think it was from one of the OVA's that I never watched.

There used to be threads about a supposed stream of Mellowlink and people wanted to see if it looked good, did anything come of that?

I'm in the small minority of people who have seen it, but yes, it's all I wanted from 80s /m/ anime. VOTOMS is cool but Mellowlink takes almost no initial investment to get into and is way more entertaining in my opinion.
