I did. But I'm pretty shit at actually finding series, and /m/ knows every obscure mecha show ever, so I get big editing things done.

Speaking of that pic, is there a good reason Rinne No Lagrange has an asterisk in it? It's been bugging me.

Well that sucks, but at least we have a starting point with the horribly outdated one unless you can re-upload your version, or some other guy saved the link. With the archive spotty now It's kinda hard to find links as conveniently as we used to.

Though if there is one thing I know about /m/ we're damn passionate about our hobby.

Not sure if Concrete Revolutio would fit the criteria for the list. The mc had a mech and there many other mechs and power armor in that series. Also homaged a lot of /m/ media. But I would say it "heavily featured power armor or robots". But LoGH featured heavily either though I haven't gotten to it yet so I might be wrong.

The biggest omission I see is the Count of Monte Cristo from 2004, which is /m/ as fuck and actually features giant, piloted robots fighting each other, which is something I can't say about many of the other entries here.

In that case, LoGH should go, since it has neither. Unless you count general space suits as "power armor", in which case pretty much any series that feature space should be included.

If you're counting Gatchaman Crowds you should also add in Samumenco. And if we're talking compilation movies and OVAs, just off the top of my head: Gundam Wing, 00, L-Gaim, Layzner, Baldios, Godmars... I'm sure there are more.

And maybe separate Neo Ranga into "Season 1" in 1998, and "Season 2" in 1999 (just like 00 or Code Geass, there's been a full year break between the start of its first cour and its second)

Thanks for all the work, Matt, but you're opening a can of worms when asking for /m/'s input. I know binary oppositions make our lives easier, but not everything can be divided as "mecha" or "not mecha". You should think of this chart as more of a general guideline rather than a comprehensive encyclopedia of "EVERY /m/ SHOW EVER".

It's also a Gonzo adaptation. I know it's hip to bash on most of their shows, but this one has a good reputation.

anyone else find it weird that there was almost a decade gap between the first animated /m/ series(Astro Boy, Tetsujin 28, and 8-Man) and Mazinger Z reviving it(although thinking about it, shouldn't the first Cyborg 009 adaptation be put on there), did the TV animation industry in Japan go into a slump or something or is it just one of those weird coincidences, cause I just find that to be kinda surprising

Publishing houses told Go Nagai not to do mecha since it's childish and outdated. He refused and did it anyway.

Go Nagai revived the genre and made it accessible to everyone else again.

Silly Matt, you un-marked the shows that were in recent SRWs. Zegapain, Star Driver, AGE, a few others. Macross Zero too, for some reason.

Also, delete Town no Quon. It's not /m/ anymore than Zetman is - just a fantasy superhero with absolutely zero mechanical elements. Yet Samurai Flamenco is still not in, despite heavily featuring a giant combining mecha in its second half.
