she's dieing soon right?
>>
>>13871979
There are only six or seven episodes to go - the best she could do is last three.

Unless, of course, she survives a one-episode fight and shows up in the final confrontation. You never know with this show.
>>
>>13871985
At the rate things are going, all the noteworthy antagonists will survive. Sort of like Wing, but shorter.
>>
>>13871985
her secret brother will show up first
>>
>>13871985

Really six or seven, they should have paced this out better. Just fucking around in space with filler and having one battle every 4-5 episodes is just terrible.
>>
>>13872015

It's hard to believe the atrocious pacing was actually planned.

You just don't understand what IBO was trying to say. Real war isn't battles every day; it's politics, diplomacy, and achieving real goals. Just shooting and killing doesn't change anything.

Changes a lot in reality, given how a lot of wars tend to turn out.

IBO really is shallow as a puddle

It has a lot of ideas that are very obvious, but doesn't build them up in an interesting meaningful way. There is no actual political thinking and strategy going on, the most it get is "I want to kill woman to start war" "what if we don't?" "good idea!" None of these parts have interesting interlocking threads, we don't even know what the old men do in any detail. Kudelia can just phone up a old man and because he is old and rich he has contacts and powers to effect news a whole fucking planet away in no time at all. There is literally nothing more to that bit, there is no how just the story needed it so he has a contact and enough power.

It's even too shallow for most viewers. Generally people want stuff basic but obvious as they find that easy, but IBO is so plain and has so little intrigue it is hard to hold anyone

It'll be forced drama since she is barely relevant. Her relationship with her husband isn't even built up so you can't even call it NTR. I really hope they don't try and force this. The most I see coming from this is her dying to protect Guts and her husband snapping and getting pissed at Tekkadon.

EVERY GUNDAM is like that, when you get down to it. This is the same as Gundam 00, and deeper than entries like AGE, Seed, and so on. (Not that those are good examples, because fuck those shows.)

I seriously have no idea what you guys want, really. Politics in a show can be fucking boring, because things just come down to "LOOK, WE NEED TO DELIVER THIS WOMAN TO <PLANET>, AND EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT."

I'm watching it to see Mika kill things with glee, to be honest. I'm too old to be concerned about things being all deep and subversive and so on. I mean, I couldn't make head or tail of G-Reco, and the random physical comedy was annoying as fuck. I'm just up for more serious Gundam shows, like this one and Thunderbolt.

I mean, you can't get away from Gundam-isms like the compulsory peace princess. But I'm glad that we don't have non-lethal-kos, a child soldier protagonist who hates fighting, and the other parts of the franchise that got in the way of smashy robots.

>Final boss
>>
>>13873144
Who else? Char is helping the main cast. Gali-Gali has no real personal interest in the main cast and new bitch doesn't have enough time to develop as a villain. Ein is the only one with a personal grudge against the cast.
>>
>>13873147
You're thinking with too much common sense. Ein is the character who says he'll get revenge for dead Gaelio as the final episode credits fade to black, who then appears in Season 2 and is forced to begrudgingly team up with Tekkadan to fight a greater evil, but only following a fight.

Also I'm calling Not!Char as having a secret grudge against Gaelio's family. Perhaps they murdered a family member who was about to make a world-changing speech about oh god fuck me why do I care anymore.

>I seriously have no idea what you guys want, really.

A plot that moves forward
Characters with defined motives and development
Mechs that actually fight
Battles that are important to the plot
Battles that happen more than once every 4 episodes
Battles that last longer than 5 minutes
Battles that aren't just pose offs
Drama for characters that are important to the series
Drama that isn't forced like Fumitan's death
Characters that don't stand around for 90% of the series doing nothing
>>
>>13873295
Nice exaggerations. Not to say you are wrong, but you are overemphasizing the negatives more than you should. Then again, I should realize where I am.

0079
>>
>>13873542

0079 had a lot of rough edges. In fact, I'll argue that it only got really good in the last third. Big Zam, A Bao Qu, Char and Lalah...all the iconic moments are from near the end of things.
>>
>>13872062
Except that Fumitan was actually best girl
>>
>>13873236

Not really. The copious amounts of hand-wringing in Gundam can get overdone at times, especially when there's someone who clearly deserves to die and is spared for no reason.

IBO seems to deliberately avoid this, like in Episode 13. Mika's revelation isn't that "Wow, war is awful." It's "Wow, this guy needs a good killing. That was deeply, deeply satisfying."

It's the little things like when he was going "What's your name again? Galli-galli? Well, it doesn't matter. No-one will remember who you were."
>>
>>13873617

I actually cannot remember anything about Fumitan, or why we're supposed to be sad that she died. I personally find Kudelia kind of insufferable, but this is mostly because I don't like peace princesses in general.

She does get a few points in that she's not Relena Peacecraft or Marina.
>>
>>13873613
I don't particularly disagree, but it's still the only one that truly fills all of those criteria.

Can't stand Not-Haman. Just same old from everyone else

Fighting looked good at times and very bad at others. Fighting that low in reenrty yet able to move around a lot was just stupid as was using another suit as a surf board which didn't even seem to burn up that much.

A lot of the dialogue was terrible like "your big hands will surely grab something important"

It was an average episode which is better than most for IBO. Next episode looks like nothing

Honestly, the choreography isn't really that good either, Gundam Age had better choreography with the AGE-2 vs zeheart's first battle.

The problem this show has is that it has it's characters act surprised and caring while the viewer sits there rolling his/her thumbs going "ok". The show has no suspense at all.

Yes it was. look at this, they are in space in huge ships meaning they are stupidly far apart here. All of them with many guns spread far apart. The fact they struggled to shoot down one ship is ridiculous
>>

They were given weapons under the pretense that Kudelia was sponsoring them. The weapons gave Gjallarhorn a reason to kill the rallyists. Granted, Gjallarhorn could've come up with other ways to frame them up without using Kudelia, but she obviously still feels guilty about it though.

>>13874747

The front of the ship is heavily armored, as evidenced by them being able to use it as a battering ram. The sides and rear aren't, which is why they needed the chaff to blind the enemy when they got near them.

The small blurbs in Kanetake's artwork of the Isaribi (Tekkadan's ship) indicates that it's painted with Nano Laminate armor. So yes, just like the mobile suits in the show, it'll actually take a lot of direct hits to damage it.

>>13874832

The Isaribi flew by the fleet while they were blinded by chaff grenades. Nothing the enemy could really do about that. By the time they had recovered, it was already ramming into the Gjallarhorn space station and was well on its way far away from them.

Also, you are forgetting that these idiots have literally almost no combat experience. Gjallarhorn has exclusive monopoly on the production of new Ahab Reactors and mobile suits. There are small groups like Teiwaz and Brewers that make mobile suits using salvaged Calamity Era stuff, but they never tried to go up against Gjallarhorn since they're either affiliated with or are afraid of them. At most, Gjallarhorn's troops have dealt with puny mobile workers in the past. It's literaly only now that someone has tried to take on Gjallarhorn with mobile suits and large ships.

How is flying straight at them politics? Kudelia literally did nothing to help them get past. The only thing she has done was stop fighting which alerted more attention. So in fact most people would in fact have it easier to get past thus unless they wanted a huge amount of criminal activity they would need a good fleet stopping any arse coming to earth

No politics got them in at all, they charged head first with a shield and left some chaff out, that's all it takes when a big fleet is in your way

Exactly. Even Tekkadan can't go up against an entire army of hundreds of mobile suits. The only reason they're going to Earth is because a country on Earth has invited them, and Gjallarhorn does not have authority to attack them there.
>>

They just went up against a whole fleet of ships today, them seem to not be having a trouble with anything no mater the number or fire power

>>13875053

That was more of a hit-and-run operation though. They killed like ten or so mobile suits. They were not actively seeking to massacre Gjallarhorn's entire fleet. Other people can attempt to do the same exact thing, but they'd just get killed by hundreds of mobile suits once they actually land on Earth. Tekkadan can land on their host country's territory and Gjallarhorn wouldn't have any authority to attack them there.

Again actually support this. When they had one very important ship to catch, with knowledge of what it is doing long before it tries and a huge fleet they could do fuck all. What evidence is there they could easily mobilise hundreds of suits and actually be effective this time instead of completely fucking useless?

That they're a group who are also now in league with the infamous space crime organisation known as two wax and have been transporting weapons to colonies. Did you somehow miss the part where Gjallarhorn launched its space fleet to quell the riots in the Dort Colonies? Gjallarhorn's entire space fleet consists of literally hundreds of ships and mobile suits. Tekkadan would've gotten wiped out had it not been for Kudelia's TV broadcast. Political influence is what saved Tekkadan from getting killed in space, and it's what they're counting on to save them once they land on Earth.

Also, Not Haman's Border Protection fleet consisted of just a dozen ships and mobile suits, at most.

If they were able to mobilize a hundred ships to quell a stupid riot, rest assured they can do the same if some space pirates or rioters actually landed on Earth, their home turf, and tried to attack people.

>>13875138
>Did you somehow miss the part where Gjallarhorn launched its space fleet to quell the riots in the Dort Colonies?
You mean the one that they fought off with 3 suits for a long ass time? And that was only because they made the presence very known and staid in the same spot for a long time. these events do not play out the same at all. If you were getting into earth you would no make yourself super known like that but do a direct route meaning less time to get a force ready

Now lets say they get past the idiot border patrol and now enter the atmosphere. They then have to track where they will land and locate the ship. They then have to find where it is in that location cause at best they will get sort of where it enters and then they could fly wherever. Then they have to justify sending hundreds of ships to get these smugglers. And then they have to actually be effective fighting them for once in

>Not Haman's Border Protection fleet consisted of just a dozen ships and mobile suits, at most
Which did fuck all. yet you are saying if someone got onto earth they'd straight away and easily mobilize a lot more which could actually do something this time despite them never being useful. Your argument suffers greatly cause you have to argue that one part is super amazing yet the other is weak and useless

Again you did not support they could do this and would be effective

Why not just send the ships so they don't even get to earth?

well gali-gali is a good pilot he can go toe to toe with mika if he actually doesn't get surprised. I'll give him the first surprise with the purging armor, that would have surprised anyone, but the wrist missiles and lance throw he should have been able to dodge that or see that coming...shouldn't he have a device on his gundam that tells him where his lance landed so he could go back and pick it up?

Garma is a fun character in this show, he isn't an evil adult, kinda to his subordinates, has a badass gundam, nice character design. and so on, hopefully he doesn't die cause that'd suck, hes one of the few good things about this show.

Well, the show has already established that people in this era are reliant on the small shuttles docked at the space ports in order to re-enter and exit the atmosphere. I'll concede to the fact that an undocumented re-entry shuttle could probably get to Earth undetected, but even then it'll have to make use of a Gjallarhorn-regulated space port on Earth in order to launch back into space. I don't think undocumented smugglers with illegal goods can just keep on re-exiting through these ports without being flagged eventually.

Naze himself has stated that Teiwaz, which is basically a Yakuza organization, has to play by the rules while they're operating within the Earth Sphere, since the environment there is more heavily regulated than in the Outer Sphere. I don't know how Kudelia plans on exiting back into space with Tekkadan, but I'm assuming she's either relying on the goodwill of her Earth-based political sponsors or she's willing to die on Earth trying to get these peace talks to proceed. You can't really say the same for smugglers though.

I mean, purple's the colour of insanity and mourning, IIRC. Neither particularly fits Gaelio at the moment, you know?
>>
>>13875613
dark purple is doom and gloom, light purple represent feminine energy and delicacy. or it can be the sacred, higher self, passion, third eye, fulfillment, and vitality.

but this IBO/Gundam doubt they made the color=character personality. made it purple because he has purple hair.
>>
>>13875613
>purple's the colour of insanity and mourning
It also means nobility, pride and ambition.
Ein piloted a purple Graze, too.

Nope.
In fact episodic formats get too repetitive when binged.
But IBO is built in a way where it's frustrating to watch it any other way.
>>
>>13875198
this scene made no fucken sense to me. the graze survived the atmospheric entry without blowing up only damaged so what the hell kinda of real danger was barbatos in? it would've just lost some armor and thats it. nobody would've even died what the hell

So how is Ein going to show up in the next episode/battle. he looked pretty injured and i doubt he'd get the Tekkadan viga-system thingy in that state and i doubt they'd do something cool and make him a cyborg.

>>
>>13875698

Or quite the opposite, he's too injured to use the physical controllers properly, so he ends up getting Alaya Vagina in order to be able to control a mobile suit again. Maybe he'll even get a special suit like Grimgerde, since the Graze is apparently not very compatible with the Vajayjay system. There's still one mystery 1/144 gunpla to be revealed, so it could be his.
>>
>>13875770

wouldn't mind that, he kinda needs his own MS considering he's survived this long. I'm Just worried about Gali-Gali. hopefully he doesn't do something stupid and die.

Chocolate Man has refused to actually be the series Char.
He's fought Mika exactly once and that seemed to be just for the lulz.
At this point, he's more like some kind of pseudo-Aizen where every fart anybody makes was predicted and planed out by him in advance.
