Field Repair

Basically what this means is that rather than the mobile suit being fresh out of a factory, it's quite the opposite. Whether it's trudging through dense jungles or dodging debris in asteroid belts, your mobile suit has seen some better days.
You've been out in the field for quite a long time now, nearly half a year of active duty in the front lines and your personal mobile suit's pretty banged up. What's worse is the fact that there isn't a maintenance bay within several thousand kilometers of your local area that's capable of making any major repairs. Your unit's engineering crew has resorted to patch work and jury-rigging to keep your machine operational. Stray fire might have crippled its legs and arms or otherwise dealt considerable damage to a mobile suit's systems meanwhile some units have simply lost bits of armor and panels to the elements and have been forced to patch weld metal sheets over the exposed inner workings.
In any case it's beaten to hell but somehow you and your team have somehow kept it chugging along and now command's ordered all units operating in your theatre to fall back to form a defensive line against the enemy offensive.

Just finished the hg z'gok. I didn't like the suit at the beginning but after building it I love it. How do I fix the seam lines though?

I've got a basic (and possibly dumb) painting question. I'll probably answer it myself by experimentation at some point, but I might as well ask some general opinions.

Anyway, I use Vajello acrylics to paint my models. mostly just for touch-up and detailing work. I'm doing this by hand so I don't want to hand paint the entire thing (and, well, I hear there's trouble doing so and covering up brushstrokes at times). They're generally quite good, but silver and other metallic colors don't seem to work very well in that line. I have no clue why, but it tends to just not coat very well and otherwise take a lot of going over to actually get a good look.

So, is it just a matter of something like laying down a layer of a lighter color first, if I'm going to be painting something dark (as seems to often work well if painting yellow)? Or should I just go buy a little pot of Testors enamel for silver, which tends to do a better job if I remember correctly?

So i'm thinking of getting Extreme Blast mode Destiny, but i heard it comes with watermark decals. my only experience with those so far were with MG Sinanju and i couldnt use them at all. they just kept falling off even after leaving them alone. do you pretty much have to buy mark softer or something for them?

i get better results with regular cement as it tends to fill up the gaps a bit better

Just experiment with different types of cloth. mine still looks pretty bad imo but I'm still just trying out different things and techniques. I will say though that one of the positives of using actual cloth rather than that nylon shit the kit comes with is that when you take a file to it you can easily get that frayed look. the GN pistols that come with the HG Astraea are pretty nice I think. The kit pictured is the RG Astraea but it doesn't come with the pistols so I took them from the HG and attached them on, so if you think they are cool as well, you would need to buy the HG Astraea to get them.

Also check out kotobukiya weapon sets, I don't know the specific one but I know there's at least one that has a set of pistols.

Incorrect.
Each brand of paint has different consistency and airbrushes different. You can spray Tamiya acrylic through an airbrush without thinner and it comes out great. Try that with Model Master acrylic, will be splotchy as hell.

She already knows which one is a Zaku, a GM(Jim) and a Zudah.
