>Suit Actor Information

Ryoko Gomi (Shironinger, ToQ #3, Kyoryu Cyan [female]) and Ayumi Shimozono (Kyoryu Violet) are 100% confirmed to be portraying ZyuohShark and ZyuohTiger respectively.
The rest of the ranger suit actors are Kousuke Asai (Akaninger, ToQ #6, Kyoryu Green), Yuji Nakata (Aoninger), and Yasuhiro Takeuchi (Kininger, ToQ #4, Kyoryu Black, etc.). This is a bit of speculation, but there is a very strong possibility that Asai is ZyuohEagle (his second red ranger) considering he has top billing from the JAE website.
Mizuho Nogawa (Momoninger, ToQ #5, Kyoryu Pink, etc.) and Masashi Takada (Starninger, ToQ #2, Kyoryu Blue) are not currently listed as participating in Zyuohger.

Further speculation: based on actor heights, Takeuchi is likely portraying ZyuohLion, while Nakata has the part of ZyuohElephant.

Like, I've always wondered how they handled the Rescue Machines in GoGoV, or more specifically how they got Red Ladder to work in general. I keep wondering how the arms don't just snap off whenever they're extended and doing grabby things, or how they composite in a fully articulated hand that I can only assume is a live action glove hand on top of a scale model prop for the telescoping arm ladder pylon things.

Tranza is alive, technically.
The Gorma that appeared during most of Dairanger died but the tribe still exist.
Furabijo an Wendinu died in Hurricanger...then were exiled to Dino earth in Aba vs Hurri, then Furabijo returned and died in Boukenger vs super sentai and then somehow was alive in Hurricaneger 10 years after. They're as good as dead but came back many times.

If we're talking favorite episodes, I'm gonna have to say either Episode 6 (Film Lot) for it's sheer creative energy or Episode 8 (Alpaca) just for how much fun and likable Alpaca was. Especially the bit where they agree to fight in the end and he thinks he's softened them up too much to destroy him only for it to go in the exact opposite direction.

But the end of Episode 5, from a dramatic standpoint, was so unexpected and tied in so well with what was possible in the universe of the show that it'll always have a special mention.

One thing that I've noticed this season is there seems to be a lot more standing around and watching. In other seasons, I'll often rewind during scenes to see what the other team members are doing at different times because there are a lot of times where the people not speaking are up to something. I don't do that much this season cause nine times out of ten, everyone is just standing around watching whoever is talking and throwing in a nod or agreement when appropriate. I don't know if it's an acting thing or a direction thing, or what, but it makes the characters duller.

Decent enough, though if you already have good Kakuranger (and I guess Zyuranger) subs, no need to pick up the Shout Factory releases unless you're looking to own them legally. I guess in the case of Zyuranger, since it's all available to stream on Shout's site, no reason to pick it up unless you want it on DVD. Dairanger, on the other hand, I can actually see being more worth getting than the other two since the subs are likely a decent bit better than the current fansubs.

I get it now, the new Deboth Knights looks are such that because marching band cheers people up while orchestra can give people sad feels.

Ninninger. Hurricaneger had a terrible plot which wa badly written and quite frankly mostly uninteresting. Kakuranger was the second series I watched and I wasn't too fond o how it handled most of the characters. Also didn't care for a lot of the episodes especially the child focused episodes. Same. I thought she would at least straight up try to murder Kyuuemon both because he was her husband's illegitimate son and was born before her own son making him Gengetsu's rightful heir.

I was disappointed that she just submitted to him instead.

Outside of Kyuemon, the Kibaoni clan sucked. They could've gave Ariake no Kata the motivation after the loss of the her son plus learning that her husband had a another child from one of his whores to make all hell break loose but they pulled a Shinkenger and had Gengetsu absorbed her and make himself more powerful.

This was a problem for me, too. I felt like Gabi coming back and Ariake no Kata basically being completely fucked by Kiboani would have been a good opportunity for them to try and oppose Him or Kyuemon. That might be a stretch, but at least Gabi looked like he respected Takaharu when he died the first time. Especially when they were both sent off the fight the Ninningers last Episode. But nope, Gabi is killed again unceremoniously by Yakumo and Ariake no Kata was useless. The Kiboani Corps was the weakest villain group from any Sentai i've seen, probably. Tsugomori was pretty nothing, Kiboani is generic "Doesn't show up until the end" bad guy and Kyuemon was sorta kinda interesting but all his actions were ~mysterious~ for far too long. Ariake no Kata was really the only one I enjoyed because she was entertaining but when Mangetsu showed up it was all over.

The treatment of the villains is part of what really broke Ninnin, I think. Gabi Raizou was killed off way too early, Mangetsu was introduced way too late and killed off in way too short a time span, Ariake just kind of farted around for most of the show and we only get the tiniest hint of her being pissed off after learning about her husband's bastard son only for her to do fuck all about it.

The reveal that Tsugomori was a mech the whole time was kind of neat but then they passed up the opportunity for a fantastic gag when he grew giant.

Something I hope they fix with Zyuohger is letting the head writer breath and don't have him/her attempt to write the whole show by themselves. Get a strong secondary writer along with him/her so that him/her can have a clear head to make a concise story.

This is key. They took too long to start making sense of Kyuemon. I know I grew more impatient than interested.

The reveal of him being Kibaoni's son came out of nowhere and could have been replaced by pretty much anything. I don't think I had the "oh wow!" moment I had when, say, Hiromu was revealed to be Enter's backup (which to me is still the best Sentai reveal) or the ToQger hometown being the Shadow Castle.

I got interested when Tsugomori revealed that there WAS no Kyuuemon in their ranks early on, but then Kyuuemon just fucked around without a clear goal for far too long. We knew he wanted to revive Gengetsu but we didn't know why until the very end of the show. They may as have not even written Mangetsu into the show at all for how much of a waste of time he was.

Exactly! The Shadow Line weren't a bunch of mustache twirling villains. Even within their own ranks they had their own politics and goals. Noir and Nero constantly butting heads, Grita just wanting to fall in love, Mork being an overbearing nanny to Zed and Schwartz not giving any fucks about any of them and just wanting to make his army stronger. In general every character had different and unique relationships with one another and then we got Ninninger. I had fun watching Ninnin but it was so disappointing.


At least the toys were cool, I guess.
