"Nonke" here sort of brings the meaning that the character isn't exclusively homosexual; it's just that the person they like in-series just happens to be the same gender.
In other words, they don't actually have a preference. Personally, I don't think bisexual works as a translation, but I can't really put my finger on why.

For Nana's birthday, Team Mizuki arranged a special party for her.
On January 28, her manager told her that they'll go to somewhere which is still unknown to Nana, but she definitely must not wear a skirt. After work (which is night of Jan. 28), her manager took her to the meeting place which is a kart racing field. Nana was really surprised, and there she saw the rest of Team Mizuki. They all went racing, and Nana, of course, is included. Its been a while since she did kart racing so she was probably worried if she still knows how to race (she participated in a go kart race back in 2008 with some co-VAs), but she said when held the handle her switch got turned on and she probably went full sakimori.
In the end she didn't win because the men's team were really good (and apparently, tricky).
Though it was not exactly a birthday party, she had lots of fun racing.
The first place winner is Mishima (Nana's producer), as written on the title of her blog entry.

In G, Kirika's second character song was about a letter she wrote to say goodbye back when she thought she was the Fine reincarnation and was shortly going to essentially die and Fine take over.

Afterwards she's extremely embarrassed about it because of the misunderstanding she made and maybe it reminds her of the more dramatic things she did because she thought she was gonna get Fine'd, like hurt her precious Shirabe. Also possibly because the content of the letter was a little mushy for a girl whose favourite word is "death".

That stuff amounts to a single page of writing at best. Maria's overall development, while less extreme and ultimately leading to a very flawed life lesson, is considerably more complex and developed than that, and comparing her to, say, Flight Feathers Tsubasa is at best biased and seeing things where they actually aren't, and at worst a crime.
