What are some more down to earth, mature, darker and military focused real mecha works?
I'm talking stuff like Takahashi works (VOTOMs, Flag, Gasaraki), Front Mission, Battletech and Heavy Gear.
Anything from manga to vidya and anime, translated or not, anything loosely fitting that criteria is welcome.

Jokes on you, I'm into Super too.
I just want to find out new Real Mecha stuff, it's always the same shit over and over being recommended whenever I try to look for a new show.

He never said they had to be cartoons. Front Mission never had a cartoon after all.

Dougram.
There's been a thread about it for some time.
It's really good, give it a shot.

Grounded combat, non-Combat Armor combatants being super important, lots of politicking, and lots of battles. At 75 eps a pretty fun ride.

OP here. I was in that thread too, I've seen Dougram, and most of RyĆsuke Takahashi's shows.
But thanks, it's a great show, you got good taste anon.

Patlabor.
Honestly if you liked Dougram watch 0079 if you haven't.
>>13785464
Yeah, Patlabor's pretty sweet. I've seen the OAV and the first film. I should probably watch the rest.

I have, yeah. Gundam is what got me into /m/ stuff in general, but I got kinda sick of it.
Would the Armored Core games fit the criteria? I've never really played them, but they sound exactly like that.
>>13785741
Yes and no, 4 and 4a have nexts, which are much faster than your standard groundpounder mech, they are basicly victory era mobile suits when the other armored core games are one year war suits.
Hell the final boss of Armored core Verdict day is a Next while your in a standard armored core, shits crazy
