G Call of Duty was amazing.

Face it; /m/ wants another SEED and Wing. Another successful series for all the wrong reasons that they can legitimately remember and shitpost about for years to come.

They of course also want another UC and 00; another UC sidestory animated and another new Gundam series that actually does something different enough while balancing action and drama with a relatively consistent plot and pacing, at least for the initial season.

IBO no. Majority of complaints is about how slow it is and lack of development outside of characters. Just like the majority of complaints about AGE and G-Reco were that they were too rushed and lacking development or rushing development of both setting and characters.

It also helps that Cross Ange had decent mechs and music and potential.

I mean, very few ever shitposted about the music and mecha, and only shitposted about the potential it had (before straight-up shitposting over everything else), which is also something that SEED and Wing also have going for them.

The sheer wasted potential with otherwise decent mecha and music and sometimes setting keeps /m/ circular discussing SEED to death, and to a lesser extent, VVV, Wing, and Cross Ange.

Aside from the legitimately memorable series like most of UC and 00, it's the legitimately bad ones that had high potential that /m/ remembers.

I mean, /m/ mostly hates AGE more than SEED, but never found as much potential in it compared to SEED, if all the discussion since AGE is to go by, which invariably devolved more into discussion over SEED, whether it was shitposting or more how to improve SEED, or what things did many actually like about SEED (and ironically, it was SEED's potential many liked, after mecha or music).

Let me explain. I hate the 00 designs simply because, what's the word I'm looking for. Edgy? I mean the litteral sense of the word. Sharp-edged. So many angles. The designs are so far from the norm of what you'd expect of Mobile Suits.

Now as for Turn A. As a Gundam show, yeah. If it wasn't, they'd be good designs.

It was because of that that S2 had to really cut down on the details in the designs, because attempting to keep it consistently animated was one issue the team had with S1.

If anything though, Katoki's designs are even more detailed than Ebikawa's designs. I love them both for the overly detailed designs though.

/m/ is full of manchildren who will watch a series just to buy toys of it afterwards and to feel like they're apart of a fanbase. Thus, they trample all non-Sunrise discussion and will defend even the worst Gundam series to the bitter death while false-flagging as Mazinger/Getter Robo/Evangelion(insert old super robot show here) fans to give the series a worse reputation here even if it's hardly ever discussed in the first place. I assume most also (or mainly) browse /a/ and aside from Sunrise series hardly watch any non-current mecha anime, if any at all. The average Gundam fan isn't too different from your average tumblrite come to think of it. I'm not going to get into how bandai and sunrise cheated gundam to the top of the industry and likely "convinced" Banpresto to off other franchises from SRW to ensure Gundam stayed on top, because then I'll just enrage myself and it's likely I'm just paranoid anyway
