I have one general rule of thumb when it comes to stuff I like. I try to never purposely associate myself with anyone in the fandom. I don't join clubs, rarely generals, nor do I buy much merch and post pictures of me with it.

It has oddly worked out very well in the terms of just me not being disappointed in myself.
