I'd consider Cyberbots and Tech Romancer to be better contenders for official fighting game of /m/. Huitzil of Darkstalkers gets an honorable mention, since even though he's just one character, he is so much pure, concentrated /m/ that he compensates for the rest of the cast.

Visually, sure, but I don't think it's so bad otherwise. They did a decent job of bringing over the VF characters, and they'll probably do the same for that Samurai Warriors character too. Honestly, bringing back Raidou as a cyborg was the most awkward thing they've done so far IMO (mainly because they didn't even give him any new moves to match the new body parts.)

Although it's impressive how they managed to make set costumes that stick out more than custom costumes would have.
