Just finished We Stand on Guard.
Loved the art, all the comic through the last issue.
What /m/ thinks about it?
It's quite a nice /m/ read.Unfortunately, the frequent flyers of this board don't give two shits about something that isn't more fucking Gundam. Anything different gives them a fucking seizure
>>13646206
i remember seeing the first entry of this. do you have a link for the rest op?
>>13647241
Check out /co/ win'o thread
>>13647231
I thought the ending was kinda shit, the girl fucked up everything for everyone and was hailed as a hero.
>>13647268
Not finding it in the thread...
>>13647323
me neither.

Use the archive, search for We are on Guard http
Just finished up reading it.The artist should be working for /aco/
The story and art reminded me a lot to Give Me Liberty (The Martha Washington Saga), one of Frank Miller's better works.
>>13648938
Hmmm, maybe I should read that. What you thought about the ending?
What is it about? What's the signifigance of the covered Canadian flag?
>>13646206
I read the first one but then I forgot about it, I also remember someone here storytelling a comic about russian mechs fighting nazi and the next volume was about Japan invading the US with giant robots mechs, forgot what it's called
>>13649348
That was The Iron Divison, a french one I storytimed.
>>13649334
The USA invades Canada to steal all of their water and the Canadian resistance defeats them.

The ending of what?
It's over?
Well fuck, I need to hit up my LCS for backissues. I fell behind around the halfway point.
>>13646206
Personally, I found it boring and predictable.
>>13649716
Well, #6 was the last issue.
>>13649395
Could also be Dust... If not the Japanese part.
Would rather read The Iron Division, I thought We Stand On Guard was kind of lame.
>>13649916
Kinda anticlimatic. I think the story could've been fleshed out a bit better. This was basically a brief vignette of something a LOT bigger. Also, Vaughan was really hammering down the "evil ameriKKKan empire" thing.
As for thepoisoning of the hydro reserves, I don't have much of an issue with that. Escape From L.A. did more or less the same thing: fuck everything and everyone.
>>13649499
That's absolutely daft, but to be honest, I expected it to be something like "Canadians are invaded by Iceland and completely whipped because they're pussies, USA comes in and saves the day". So it's better than expected.
>>13646206
Is it ongoing or complete?
Also anyone has links for "The five fists of science"?
This was an absolute shit comic. BKV is a hack
>>13650179
Nah, Dust is fucking terrible as far as comics go.
>>13651558
>Dust
The one in which a soviet commisar sabotages the most important mission because he was keked and results in Moscow leveled to ground causing Axis victory ?
Any rundown what happenes after that?
Also>>13650520
I need it too.

Found it uninteresting. Didn't care for the characters and art wasn't to my liking. Dropped it after issue 3.

No, the one with the bimbo mechanic pinup MC that gets killed in a very dumb way and has a walking tank made of cobbled together nazi parts named after her.
>>13651958
basically nobody on /co/ wants to discuss it they came here instead
>>13646206
Finally finished it. Mixed feelings. The Americans are dead on accurate. The French is horrible (and having a member of Cirque du Soleil as the suggester, not proofreader, just made things worse)
>>13649348
>>13649395
Just went through it. The first volume is the best. The third volume is just horrible, art and story.
>>13651558
Agreed. The first series was just a cheesecake introduction, and the second one is pretty much as >>13652210
said.
