0079, 0080, Unicorn and Victory are probably the only entries I really like but even if I dislike the other entries to some degree I still like the big picture they build up when put together and find some level of enjoyment in most of the other entries too.

Zeta is the only really shitty UC Gundam. Most of the others are only just bad.

Well what do we have in comparison? It's not like most AU's are that well written either since they largely borrow UC cliche's to make the bulk of their characters & factions.
I'm of the opinion that all of gundam is mediocre, it's almost always been mediocre and the format doesn't allow itself to be anything but that because it's format has become so standardized that it's now considered generic. UC just has the greatest number of entries because that's what Banrise wants to milk.

And 0080 is probably one of the better written UC entries because it's a simple self contained story that comes from a unique perspective for large part of its screentime, teaches the same old lesson, manages to have a likable cast and doesn't treat itself like some 2nd coming of God to reshape the continuity like Unicorn and it's absolutely pointless romp from Industrial 7 and back.

But I like mobile suits.

It was more just Unicorn trying its hardest to make out Banagher to be Amuro II, but completely forgetting the part where the reason Amuro actually is a good character is because he had an actual character arc and doesn't just rely on newtype magic to accomplish anything. There's even that part in episode 2 of Unicorn where the Sinanju kicks the Unicorn into an asteroid like Char did to Amuro in one of the earlier episodes of 0079.

Because now, both ZZ and F91 are probably my favorite Gundam things now.

ZZ deserves a lot of the flak it gets, but F91 is amazing for something that was nipped in the bud. It's a unique story that isn't just Neo^∞-Zeon vs Feds with a unique aesthetic of the Crossbone Vanguard and story between Seabook and Cecily that's different from how the relationships between men and women usually go in gendum. The opening and ending scenes are very strong, basically any time they're in space it's good, the colony atmosphere under CB rule is really dense and gritty

Louis CK crossed with Vader is also the antagonist
