it depends on your skill, longer you play the better you master it.
the starting was tough but when you know what you're doing, then rest will be ok.
heavy grind skill is a must. whoever played grinding game type, majority ok with it, i guess.
earned C-Bill better keep it or use it, IF in the crucial situation ONLY.

compared to War Thunder, MWO was more cash munching as premium only offer once, while WT have few free gift of booster, not sure nowadays.

oldshcool battletech mechs with hands can pick stuff up. Some of them even carry melee weapons, and a few carry ranged weapons.

Usually they mount their weapons even if they have hands, because integrated weapons are the norm in the setting. Frees up their hands for punching other robots in the face.

You have to remember that a lot of combat missions are actually raid and salvage missions. You kill a mech, and then you use those hands to rip it into easily carryable parts, and take it home for reconstruction or disassembly for loot. Then there are missions where you have to extract a person from a fortified location, or steal some nuclear weapons or proprietary technology, or then you just need to flip the bird at someone.

Finally, while very little used outside RPG, hands are... well, handy, at fortification works. Cut trenches with a single finger, stack rocks and tank traps, build bridges, whatnot.
