Finally got around to watching this. Was pretty good, not as great as the first two seasons or the anime but a lot of fun overall. Ryuga was a lot less shitty than his Yamitera self and Masa is a fucking great villain. I think my only major problems with it are Rian and how shittily it treats Daigo. Both this and Makai no Hana sit as really strong 8s, even though they do a lot of things differently from each other

So I don't really watch any toku stuff. The last thing I watched was one of the Kamen Riders like 18 years ago.
Yet for some reason, I really fucking love Garo. Is it the tacky armor? Kouga's autism? The fucking OPs? I don't really know how, but dudes fighting other dudes in plastic armor was never this fun to watch.

I know you kid, but even though I kinda hate the whole "Urban Fantasy" thing that's so popular these days because it's cheap, I don't mind it in Garo because it's so refreshing compared to other Toku shows that still do the 70's scene transitions where a monster will literally kick the hero from a city street into a forest, in one cut.

What's the point of that anyway? I guess for pyrotechnics they can't do those in urban areas, but they don't even do those all that much anymore, they could easily just use the digital effects that they use 90% of the time when they are in some area where they can't bring the gasoline cannon.

Only real problem is that it didn't have all the horrors from the first series in, so the story mode alone was really short. It was somewhat fun playing Kiba mode and having to collect every other character's attacks. I never could beat Lost Soul Garo in versus mode, though I didn't play it that much really.

FFXIV player here. That's the old PvP armor set for Paladins. DRKs got a panther/lynx-themed version. The coat from the picture a few posts above is also a PvP reward.

The clip was a a well-done transformation macro that switches armor sets. But yeah, as soon as I found out that PvP gear was a Garo love-letter I dove right into it.

So they ended up going with the 2 box set route for the domestic release of Guren no Tsuki. Well, that will save a lot of money for us buyfags.

Easily the best episode by far. Zinga's scene is so much better than every single Raikou's Garo scenes so far it's not even funny.
Garo barely had any movement and most of the time just one shot the Horror. It's like they made Garo look so shitty on purpose for Zinga's glorious debut which is so damn late into the series.

It's not completely their fault.
It's listed as Fujiwara family's silver armor in the synopsis.
As for the white lotus part it is about the knight's heart. Yasusuke comes from a corrupted nobel family, but even as a thief he has a pure clean heart.
