I do know that. I also know that a lot of people don't say what they actually think about something to make others upset. For example, I really enjoy IBO, but god knows I'll shitpost and call it boring and bad on /m/ as much as I can to upset the people who like it. Thunderbolt has probably the only UC designs I would like to see animated even less than Fascist Wank Zaku II, Red Glowy Katokiman and grey tryhard ART-1.

I don't even understand how people could buy into using arms so dinky they look like they're out of a comedy anime to hold up a pile of shields or a pile of crap attached to the back of a Zaku that makes the worst Gunpla customs look modest.

I originally was not a big fan of the designs, but I read it and liked the tone and the differences in design from other UC suits grew on me, they make sense in this version of the universe. I still dislike atlas immensely though.

That alone will make the plot, no matter where it goes, much more tolerable. Also I read a few pages of a random chapter and it looks like there is an interesting twist, dunno how obvious it is though.

I think the mechs are fine, but as a mecha show, yeah it's pretty shit. I mean it seems to forget what it is half the time, because it needs to remind the audience what's going on. (well aside from the apparent lack of Mecha fights which is fine just make something good happen in between them ffs if you go the slow route)

For those who haven't read Vol. 6 yet, Daryl doesn't appear in Vol. 6. The entire volume is about the battle between Aquatic GMs and aquatic Zeon suits in the arctic. It's mostly told from the point of view of Heartbreaker-8, this female ace. She's also part of Io's band - the volume is equal parts Mobile Suit combat and jam session.
