To be fair, we had a recurring thing for a few eps where he was training with Lafter and she was complaining that he fought like a madman, rough and brutal. THEN we have a big ceremony where Orga goes on and on about family, and now Lafter comments that Akihiro stopped fighting like he was suicidal. It seems a pretty clear implication that he held a single-minded fighting focus with no regard for his personal welfare (probably because Human Debris), but now he's starting to actually consider other things. This anime got off to a strong start, but I have to say 00 did a better job 10 episodes in of conserving budget and staying fun by spamming the same battle song everywhere. Other gundams are too different to compare, but until they meet the gjallhorn side again it feels like the anime won't have begun.
