Anyone play Digimon Online here? I got sucked back in after the Tri hype, and I've actually been enjoying it.
They've only had it for a couple of months so far, but GameKing seem to be handling it better than Joymax did.

I think the 02 kids are alive but it's left intentionally ambigious.

Alphamon saved Garurumon from the Kuwagamon. The reason he ran from Omegamon is because he noticed he was devolving. Gold shit started glowing on Omegamon's head like he was losing power while charging up.

So I think he's just trying to kill Meicoomon, who is the source of the infection because plot reasons we don't know yet.

The poster has Imperialdramon, so I think he became infected somehow. The 02 kids were involved with it somehow, maybe Iperialdramon was always infected, and Alphamon was just trying to stop them. Or maybe he even arrived after the infection took their Digimon and hurt the kids. So yeah, Aphamon didn't kill Imperialdramon so I doubt he killed the kids.

Tamers actually had a fleshed out timeline of the inception of the internet and Digital World. There was a lot of world building that was never really talked about much in the show compared to how much notes the director had.

On the bright side, they did leave her attempt at seducing Numemon intact.

Fucking terrible character designs. One thing I always liked were the cheesy yet fun designs the kids had. Would've given anything for a cowboy hat or sunglasses. Just something that spiced it up other than "blue school uniform" or "Current Japan Fashion."

The digimon are the same as they've always been though and were definitely the best part of the movie. Wish we got to see more of Gomamon though.

I found the battle scenes to be very lack luster though and I don't know how to feel about the new digivolving. They have so much they can work with move wise.

Also Angemon struggling against a Kuwagamon is jobbing as fuck.

Want to see what that cat evolves into though.

It doesn't bother me much. Plus 02 had the Adventure cast wear generic school uniforms too.

The Digimon's style more than make sup for it. I imagine the art director wanted that mundane artstyle to illustrate how normal the Adventure casts lives have become in the absence of their Digimon partners. And also to contrast between the mundane and fantastical because the Digimon look great.

It also fits really well with the first Adventure movie's style because it takes place in a boring Japan with gigantic monster fights. The first teasers even referenced that movie.

I can understand why you would hate it though. It's definitively not as fun and cartoony as the original. It's just a matter of taste I guess.

I can't wait for the next batch, but its mostly nostalgia fueling my enthusiasm for Tri. Hell, I gasm'd over the old ferris wheel being in the background and random water color backgrounds. But most importantly I got to see this handsome mug again.

I would say all of them are decent. Just be warned that 02 is infamous for raping what Adventure built and having its own share of inconsistences

Adventure is decent overall, mostly suffering from being old.

02 has a promising start and even some great episodes, but a poor gogglehead and a lot of weak writing together with a really garbage ending.

Tamers has been circlejerked by the whole fanbase for well over a decade. That said, it deserves a lot of the praise it gets, it's an excellent show.

Frontier is basically Digimon playing Kamen Rider. Has some good episodes and a more focused cast than usual. That said, the last quarter of the show is twelve episodes that should have been three at most. If you can get past that, it's a fun experiment that just didn't quite work out.

Savers is all-around solid. I can't say much more for or against it than that.

Xros Wars is pretty phenomenal. There's a huge focus on making the Digimon have just as much personality and drive as the humans here, and it works. Great villains, a unique mechanic, and a lead mon that's as /m/ as it gets. Worth it.

Time Hunters has nothing to do with time and barely any more to do with hunting since Tagiru hogs all the catches for himself. Lamest of all goggleheads, a non-story, incredibly poor use of the returning cast, everything about it is just wrong.

Naw, I agree with him. Besides the female tamer of Savers being kind of a weak character, overall the series was solid. Had its faults, sure, but it had its positives as well.
Xros Wars, as well, was really good, taking a step in an old direction, while still being fresh. Exploring the digital world, having a decent balance between humans and Digimon, and it really helped that the score was good and battles were kind of hype.

There was nothing wrong with her characterization, outside of her becoming an idol in Young Hunters, but that was Young Hunters, so that's easily ignored. If you're one of those people that got buttmad she wasn't a serious villain, that's your own fault for making assumptions.

There were things that could have been handled better, but the only things that were truly rushed were Kiriha's backstory and the very end, but at least the latter could be attributed to behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

So I just got my Digimon Adventure Tri. model Digivice delivered to me, and it has the evolutions of all the Digimons' Ultimate (Mega) forms voiced on it.
