Does this really work?
To this day I'm still nonplussed by the idea.
That said, I think Dan just wanted the seekers on the missiles to have a hackjobbed line of sight lock, using the launcher like an oversized Javelin or some shit.
BEST PLANs are always lolwut inducing, that much is certain.

With a mech? Yes. With a vehicle not built to do it using missiles generally made for compensating to do so? It would work regardless.
No real reason why it shouldn't work

If anything, the xsam might give a longer range than firing it vertically.
Since the target is a freaking boat, why not use torpedoes of some sort?

Torpedoes don't look as cool.
Also it's Guilty Crown, don't try to think too hard about the details of GHQ's tactics.
God this show needed a rewrite so badly. I would totally bankroll a compilation series for the show if it also meant getting to make the narrative more cohesive.

The mech side seems pretty good though. It's a shame the designs were wasted on a bad show.

There is such a thing as "the boat displaces so little water, it's lying too shallow to be hittable by torps".
>>13554061
It'll work. I mean it'll work a little crappy, but it'll work.

A cruise ship hosting a full on ballroom party?
Pls.
>>13554061
it's not really an IDEAL situation

We had look-up detonators back in the 40s.
Mind, those were on the mark 14, but we still had them.
