The Lance one is in wma, so I hope that doesn't affect anyone too much. I had already moved the fixed version to my phone and it converts automatically. So when I uploaded the corrected version to mega again I just replaced the old version directly from my phone storage without thinking since I didn't keep the original on my HDD in the first place.

The rest are all more or less still stable though. Rina is just as hot-headed as ever, Akira is just as useless as ever, Maya is still a mostly stone-cold killer as ever, Kenji has remained an assertive leader rather than the coward his Fafner used to make him.

But yeah, Soushi is definitely influenced by Nicht in his occasional superior-than-thou statements while piloting. Kazuki remained normal until recently, though it's a lot harder to tell only because his own original altered state wasn't much different from his normal self outside of the cockpit.

Honestly, I feel that if Fafner is to continue after Exodus with the next generation I think this is the best direction that they can go. While the struggle of the islanders is compelling, that the nuking of Japan does justify their hesitation to interact with others, the truth is that they did become isolationists and their actions did directly lead to the evolution of Festum like the Nuns feared in the first series.

That if there is a future series it focuses on the new generation trying to save as many people and Festum as possible. The development of more Alvis style ships where cohabitation is possible. Sure, with all the people they save they risk bringing in more elements that might cause trouble but is it truly wrong to want to save people? Is it truly right to live in paradise and never consider those not as fortunate? Should you stop helping people because you don't want to get hurt?

Before it's always been a matter of resource management and available space. Keeping Alvis operational probably demanded all they could acquire, no real possibility to build smaller ships especially with only one Mir.

But now they might end up with 3 individual Mirs and the crazy production power of SDPs and Festum. Creating more island ships, if on a smaller scale seems possible.

And there's only one more natural progression for Human/Festum relationships really, and hopefully it'll turn out much better than what a Scrub Coral/Human relationship produced

I had submitted an idea that the NUN actually fostered the development of the Gegory types, possibly with a fragment of the Seto Mir.
Maybe that's why they aren't combative because the Seto Mir was peaceful, but due to the NUNs experimenting on them it comes to realize that people are shit.

Only insofar as all Festum are made by Mir. A Fafner core is a Festum, not a Mir.
I have nothing to back up this next bit, but I kinda think that the Fafner cores are like nascent embryo Festum, (the things we see in H&E are the stillborn fetuses) in a similar way that eggs in an ovary are potentially children. So extracting a Fafner core is like stealing a woman's eggs, or something along those lines.

Just wanted to make the distinction between Mir and Fafner-core, after all Kouyo is able to form himself into Vier's core, but he isn't a Mir.

Kouyo is just a weird situation, it'd probably be fair to say he's more like an imitation of a core. Going by Exodus he's clearly able to form a full body, but staying a portable, teleporting core has its advantages.

Right, she does. She actually says "Mir no Core" so they're literally cores of Mir. It's technically not wrong because it is Of the mir as in that's its place of origin.

There's also the scene in DA where Hino talks about Mark Elf's core as being part of the Seto Mir. If we look at the Azazel types, they are part of their respective Mir, but they are ultimately Festum.
