Hey there M, has Anyone hear ever heard of Macron 1?
Apparantly the english version was a combination of two differant shows. Goshogun and Srungle.
I remember seeing a few episodes, But I can't remember how they handled the splicing of two shows together.
Was it kind of vr trooper style? Apparantly the srungle team was in an alternate dimension or something.
And since these are anime shows, Its trickier to have the characters interact with each other. Unlike the Vr troopers show, where they had access to the hero suits for filming original footage.

I grew up on Macron 1, one of my all-time favorites.

Will this help when watching the Time Etranger or is too much changed?
I REALLY want to see that movie but I'm worried I won't be able to fully get it or enjoy it without seeing Goshogun first.

Etranger is REALLY different from the series. It only features one cast member, basically. I'm sure it would help to watch the series, but the movie is so surreal that it's gonna be baffling no matter what.

Holy shit, a blast from the past. Me and my cousins would sit around the TV for Macron 1 to air during the afternoon. Ah those were the says.
Iirc this was paired with Robotech and Tranzor Z south of the border. Wasn't this show unable to re-air due to song licensing problems?

Unfortunately I never stumbled upon it myself, but I've heard from a lot of my friends here in Russia that they used to watch the (single-voiced despite being official) Russian dub on TV, and it was fairly popular.
Seems that we've got a different version from the American dub though where it was just edited GoShogun without anything else.

I bought Time Etranger on DVD and watched it half a dozen times without having seen Macron 1 or GoShogun, and I got by just fine.
