So you just blow through Akira's route in the first 7 stages? Sounds about right.

Thanks for the steady replies my brethren.
I'll see what I can do, I'm also going for the Gai route so no Master Asia for me, I'll ponder whether Jack is worth keeping.
Also
>Playing AP multiple times

I'm a sadist, not a masochist.
>>
>>13518840
I feel like Akira's episode could be tied to something more, that and the true final battle in Live-A-Live could be connected as well.

>>13518846
>I'm a sadist, not a masochist.
AP actually gets funner the less constraints you have due to money and more ACE bonuses getting unlocked
>>
>>13518849
You can probably drag it out as some kind of conspiracy but its not something that would last longer than the first 20 stages.

As for including Odio, you can have him be behind some other factions as a neutral party. You'll need some way to give him presence through out the game though,
>>
>>13518863
While I think your ideas are cool I'm not the anon making that cast list

As a side note I think saving Akira's bro and keeping the turtle along with him as subpilots would be a neat secret.
>>
Great, had to post the flowchart at the ass end of the last topic.

>>13518840
>>13518849
>So you just blow through Akira's route in the first 7 stages? Sounds about right.
Well technically, 7 stages is the entire thing. I'm starting very small for my first project because from experience my giant projects always burn out.

Maybe I'll add 1-2 more stages because I think there's not quite enough time to enjoy certain units.

The end of the scenario does the LaL Mecha chapter ending thing where it looks like everything is back to normal and stuff like Nagisa's parents aren't dead any more but then there's some FORESHADOWING dropped and it turns out this is a prequel to my "big Eternity project" if I ever get around to it.

Which incidentally, is done Live a Live style with several themed scenarios e.g Fantasy, Alien Invasion and the final chapter will indeed have a reference to Live a Live True Ending

Or maybe it'll just be Giant Robo cliffhanging forever
>>
>>13518876
LaL SRW with all the other chapters replaced with different robot shows

Yeah that's pretty cool, the kicker would be how you tie it all together.

>>
>>13518911
>I feel like I played my SRW cast list a bit too safe here.
Yes.

Seriously, you even have the Neo-Trinity of MacrossF/DanNova/Seed Destiny.
>>
>>13518934
I just wanted a classic romp of beat em up. I probably forgot to add the series that I brought SEED for since I was going to put in Stargazer.

F is just there because squad filler. I didn't know what to add to take up space so I defaulted to Frontier.
>>
>>13518936
I think you should put whatever series you want into your SRW. Don't feel like you need to have a SUPER INNOVATIVE CAST.
>>
>>13518938
"Dream Cast List" having Filler series is kind of odd though.

I mean, if you really like something like SEED but don't know how to work in the plot, then by all means do it plotless/post-series/etc but it feels odd to say that you feel obligated to add in series just to fill up an arbitrary number of slots.
>>
>>13518938
Part of the reason why it was so boring cast wise is that I wanted something like the older days but with more modern series. Which is why I even included the Neo Trinity.

F91 is probably the weakest link in the cast since it doesn't really sync well with anything else.
>>
>>13518915

>>

Is that really the driving force behind everyone's idea for an SRW they plan to make?
>>
How about this super awesome list:

Mazinger Z
Great Mazinger
Grendizer
Getter Robo G
Daitarn 3
Zambot 3
Trider G7
Dancouga Nova
Macross F Movies x2
Gundam SEED Destiny
Gundam OO Movie
Gundam CCA
Gundam Unicorn

Debuting series:
Aldonah Zero
Valvrave
G-Reco
IBO
Daishogun
Daimidaler

10/10 would play
>>
>>13518948
About half of those series only offer like 2-3 units at most. If he's going with a PU system then adding Frontier to help puff up the list wouldn't hurt.

Its also a cheap way to readily shift between the fantasy series and the normal ones unless you want to spend half of the game in Byston Well to satisfy Dunbine's plot.

Yes, it literally plays just like SRW but with some very good touch ups. 3 games have been made, 2 have been translated with a patch, last game has a text translation and the final game releases sometime end of this year or early next year.
>>
>>13518982
no lie I legit would want this to be a thing, mostly for the revelations that Vers military strategy is based on Gekiganger 3, Inaho going slowly mad on the Nadesico, Muge playing Dornkirk and the Hau Dragon LIKE A GODDAMN FIDDLE and a boss fight of the GP02 flanked by the Gilgazamune and the Tharsis

It's probably too soon. Most likely we'll have to hope for another PS3/PSV cross-platform, though I'd like to see a standalone PS3-exclusive SRW, every entry on the PS3 so far has been a sequel or a spinoff, the system deserves at least one solo entry for itself.

Presumably making it PS3-exclusive and not having to worry about making it fit the Vita as well would mean it would have more content, unless I'm way off the mark on how game work.

Borderline top tier in Impact.

Borderline top tier in GC

Probably just straight top tier in XO thanks to that combo

Decent in AP, Jack's inability to hit for shit nonwithstanding

...he's bad in X-O, but we can't count that. It isn't his fault that there are a billion SRs and SSRs and he's not one of them.

Super Robot Wars T
The first game opens with a massive cosmic event, in which the entire planet of Mars is replaced with a second earth or to be more accurate the dimension of space the second earth occupied along with colonies
Earth 1
Mazinger/Getter/Zeta/F91/Full Metal Panic/Linebarrels of Iron(Manga)/Dai Guard
Earth 2
SEED(with Astray)/Fafner/00S1/Dancouga/Gravion/Macross Zero/Macross(Original)
Super Robot Wars T2
After the events of the first game the mytsery of the first massive comic event is still unsolved and it suddenly happens again, this time bringing a third Earth into the solar system. Along with the third blue planet however comes the more prevelant appearence of a sustainted spacial disturbance that allows for near instant travel between locatations in the solar system.
Earth 1
Mazinger (continued)/Getter (continued)/Zeta (Post Plot)/Crossbone Gundam/CCA/Full Metal Panic(continued)/Linebarrels of Iron (Manga) (Continued)/Dai Guard (Post Plot)/Gaiking LODM/GaoGaiGar
Earth 2
SEED Destiny(with appropriate Astray)/Fafner HaE/00S2/Dancouga(continued)/Gravion (Continued)/Macross (Post Plot)/Macross Plus/Gunbuster
Planet 3 (It's another Earth, the twist is it's one where they failed to protect it from the Zentrandi attack in the first game)
GunXSword/King Gainer/G-Reco/Xabungle/Macross 7(Max, Millia and their group leave at the start of the game and when the event occurs they've been gone like in @3)/Gurren Lagann/Zoids CC/Turn A
>>
>>13519273
Pretty much because it's a space opera setting where half the story revolves around the fact Earth got completely overrun and defeated and humans fled and scattered to space for their lives.

First half of the series is pretty much the human fleet trying to make their way back to the solar system and take back their home planet. Second half is them basically trying to solve the mystery of an ancient god like race who helped advance all life in the universe before actually straight up leaving and becoming higher dimensional beings.
>>
>>13519285
Super Robot Wars T3
The climax of the series is coming. As space continues to distort more and more can the heroes steel manage to save all 3 Earths as forces from all over space, time and dimenisons begin converging on this solar system.
Earth 1
Mazinger(Continued)/Getter(Continued)/Zeta(Post Plot)/Star Dust Memories(Post Plot)/Crossbone Steel 7/Victory Gundam/CCA(Post Plot)/FMP(Post Plot)Linebarrels (Manga)(Post Plot)/Dai Guard (Post Plot)/Gaiking LODM(Post Plot)/GaoGaiGar Final
Earth 2
Seed Destiny (with Astray) Post Plot/Fafner Exodus/Majestic Prince/Trailblazer/Dancouga(Post Plot)/Dancouga Nova/Gravion(Post Plot)Macross(Post Plot)/Macross Plus(Post Plot)/Gunbuster (Post Plot
Earth 3
GunXSword(Post Plot)/King Gainer(Post Plot)/G-Reco(Post Plot)Xabungle(Post Plot)/Macross 7 (Post Plot)/Gurren Lagann(Continued)/Zoids CC(Continued)/Turn A (Post Plot)
From beyond the Stars
Diebuster/Heroic Age/Macross Froniter/Macross 35

I understand it's a bit large and lacking in Supers, but this is a dream project as in it'd be the greatest ever and I need more time to think what Super are appropriate and what Supers work fine with the timeskips

You know, I kinda wish every game had SRW Z1's bazaar.

I loved it in every way.

Buy items, buy robots, and then they took it an extra step and incorporated secret elements into it.

What are some game play elements from SRW you'd like to see more of? Alternatively, just list the ones you really liked in the games they showed up in.

He got one from every Getter pilot, and MIGHT have gotten one from the Mazinger pilots - I know Getter got support bonuses from them.

Remember, R's friendship bonus system was the basis of what ended up becoming GC's "everyone is friends with everyone" system.

>>13519322
GC's capture system and friendship system would go well in any game. Though, I'm unsure how to make capturing work without parts - maybe just make it so the enemy has to have health in the red? Would make Mercy a bit more useful than normal.

Well in this case most of the super's "crossover combinations" existed before the games since they appeared in the crossover movies. Probably the Daitarn-Zambot or the Voltes-Combattler ones were the first entirely made for srw and even there we are talking about series so similar that may could have easily done their own crossover, which the Nagahama's ones did in fact.

>>
Do you think they'll ever try to foist remakes on us again at this point? It doesn't seem like remakes of older games are as likely as they once were.

Still kind of miffed they never made an R Portable, that could have been some quick and easy thing they made. They had what, Shin vs. Neo, some Excellence frames, and Gundam X to make, aside from some miscellaneous other stuff like the Gundam Mk. III or some unused Mazinger/Meganoid stuff?
>>
>>13519796
How so?
>>
>>13519818
They could have stolen X stuff from Z, I guess, but even if they didn't (R had more X stuff than Z anyway) they wouldn't need to make much more Mazinger/Meganoid stuff since R basically just borrowed from A in that regard.

It would not have been difficult though.
>>
>>13519824
3 brought back 1's weapon fusion system and habit of adding new items to the shop almost constantly.

Enemies also have HP counts on par if not a little higher than their counterparts in 2 but you have much lower damage modifiers on your skills so its pretty intended for you to upgrade your equipment asap. But in order to get better weapons, you have to kill x amount of monsters to meet the mat reqs.

They also somehow managed to make the AO system even more broken as its actually better to move 1 square per turn until when you don't get to act again almost immediately where you'll then actually attack.
>>
>>13519828
I just recall a few Meganoid and Mazinger stuff R seemed to have that A didn't, though for all I know some of those Meganoids were in Impact and could be recycled from it. R had some Great Mazinger plot, I think, involving the usual "old friend turned traitor" story around where you get Mazinger Z's Reinforced Rocket Punch. My last attempt at making it through R was ages ago, though. Maybe I should try to get back to it some time and post it around here, like the Compact guy.

It's not like they even would have had to try hard much in the new stuff, either. They could try to discuss some re-use of Alpha Gaiden on some of the basic X stuff, like the Ez-8's strongest move in AP.

Honestly, I would accept mostly recycles just for better gameplay and graphics than the GBA. All I would expect is some decent original animation for, say G-Bits and Satellite Cannons, and Shin vs. Neo's Final Getter Crash animation, if nothing else. Kind of like how the most unique animations in AP were Stoner Sunshine Spark and Kyukyoku Tenkyoken.
>>
>>13519894
>They also somehow managed to make the AO system even more broken as its actually better to move 1 square per turn until when you don't get to act again almost immediately where you'll then actually attack
Never thought to do that when I played it. Must just be me being a moron. There was another way to make weapons too, right? As in, if you used a certain weapon for x number of maps, you could buy a better version of it.

Yeah but you were still poor as fuck almost all game.

Anon, from which weirdass dimension do you come from that you don't know this?
Yakuza own the vast majority of real estate and the whole construction industry, this is common knowledge, hell, all criminal organizations invest in real estate, the mafia, the freemasons or the church.
The Yakuza own all the buildings in which arcades are located, just like pachinko, they had Sega by the balls since forever.
>>

>>
>>13520137
Adding to all that, the aforementioned game series is consistently good (even though there's a weird zombie spin-off), is one of the only Sega IPs to get exported anymore and a real yakuza complained about the 3rd game's censorship in the states. Coincidence? I think not.

To force you to spend what little PP you have replacing it, probably. It's Sanbondo. I ain't gotta explain shit.
>>
>>13520355
>replacing it
That would require her to get enough PP to fill her four empty slots, and then enough to buy something new on top of P-Damaged. Which sure as hell isn't happening, considering I only have seven missions left and I have more important things to spend PP on. Like pumping the shit out of Marisa's Ranged stat.
>>
>>13520371

>>
>>13520377
You can, but why would you replace an existing skill instead of using an empty slot? Sure, it's a silly skill that she has very little use for, but it's still better than nothing.
>>
>>13520342
>And also has Miracle, but not enough SP to cast it.
IIRC in Mystic Sanae has a equippable PS which reduces the costs of Miracle to 80 SP and then around Lv31 also learnss SP Regen as a PS.

Though they later removed SP regen in Eternal because it was kinda overpowered and reworked it into a weird PS where Faith can be exchanged for SP refills. It's a double edged knife though, Faith bumps up Sanae's stats and damage through the roof it also causes her MP costs to also skyrocket to the point she can deplete her whole bar in one big nuke of a attack.

>On another note, why the hell does the dodgiest motherfucker this side of Reimu have the P-Damaged skill? What's the point?
Is that the one where you gain power from being hit? IIRC Sanae becomes tankier as her Faith gauge goes up, she also gains a barrier as well as boosts to all her other stats and damage.

Faith pretty much goes up whenever you do any action, jumping the most when she's healed or kills something. It actually drops though if you do nothing on your turn.

Oh you were talking about Aya, yeah Aya is shit in Mystic really god awful, she's a lot more usable in the third game.

Her only use in Mystic is dropping Tailwinds on other characters and giving a friendship boost to Sanae.

Incidentally Reimu, Aya and Momiji all give a +2 friendship to Sanae, if you surround her with the three for a lv6 friendship it gives Sanae a permanent 24% boost to evade and hit and 10% damage boost.

Tell me the next series you want to debut in SRW.
The catch?
You can't say the name, just post (one of) its potential battle themes.
>>
Time for boredom to make me repeat an old crud idea of mine for SRW.

SRW C(lassic)

Take the idea of Impact compiling and enhancing the Compact 2 trilogy, and apply it to the classic timeline, though with the more modern style it would thankfully be less of a slog to go through.

So take all the series that appeared anywhere in the timeline, including any that were exclusive to special versions of certain entries, and make sure they stay from beginning to end so that nobody disappears during the finale.

This would probably involve a decent measure of altering the flow of stories and unit acquisition; some series could show up earlier in the timeline than before, or later. I imagine Ideon would be one of the series that still wouldn't make its true debut in-story until the F "arc" of the playthrough among some others.

Not much more to it than that. Modernize the interface, smooth out the timeline into one flowing transition (so none of the "we defeated Bian, better hop into lower-power mecha until the next big war"), give some actual animation to attacks, etc. I think it could be moderately interesting as a future concept or an anniversary thing.

Nope, worst you'd have to deal with is having it in the early bits of 2's story. The catch would be it wouldn't be too terrible, outside of being an early-game unit to be upgraded in a few stages.

In my dream version of this game, it'd actually have an animation or two that would make it quirky/unique to look at, too. Like Kaikink breaking an arm in L before you get back to Gaiking.

I imagine 2's arc in the game would end up being pretty short, though, if not altered. Outside of Bian's shtick, 2 didn't really make much of a compelling plot...how many stages could it possibly last?

>>13520713

>>
>>13520745
If Hathaway's Flash gets anything in the series, it'd be around a potential fourth game, since that'd be when the timeline approaches CCA/Unicorn/Hathaway's Flash/maybe F90 stuff. (And yes, that's a lot of time getting pressed together, but hey, the Earth Federation had Metal Armors for twelve fucking years at that point, it's not unreasonable to say downsizing would start early.)

One of the ideas I had for my pedestrian and not-at-all-interesting SRW is that the first game would only use OYW Gundam (MSG, 8th MS, 0080, Lost War Chronicles, and probably Igloo). I'm not sure if any other Gundam series would fit the first game at all all, since the tech level of that is just really far ahead.
>>

>>
>>13520745
When we were talking about this last I think we all agreed that 2's plot would go for about 10-15 stages.
3 would go for about 20-25 stages and F/Final would go for about 30-40 stages.
>>
>>13520789
Everything else tends to ramp up the tech beyond what's possible in the OYW, if you're trying to keep things consistent.

In theory, you could slide in Wing, X, SEED, or AGE-1 depending on how comfortable you f eel with them.

Best alternative though is just to focus on things outside of Gundam that compliment your current choice of series.

Tell me of your SRW ideas, and I will help you on them.

Ah, right, I remember that. So basically enough to do the original 2's plot pretty much wholesale as it was in the classics: early Gundam, Mazinger, and Getter stuff. Maybe one or two other super robot shows that could fit into that plot of "Bian unites evil peoples so humanity gets off its rear."

Think the alternate endings for F/Final should be kept, or should they be phased out in favor of the one canon ending?

Semi-post apocalyptic with the main forces being alines of all kinds in one giant invasion that just continually worse as the game goes one. MC is daughter of famous scientist that had literally everything she knew and loved wiped out by an alien presence that was noticeably different from any of the invaders at 8 years old. 7 year time skip happens and things go from there (I haven't nailed down a lot) Eventually culminating in the Gunbuster Finale where 99% of the crew (and some of the OG villains) gets caught in it and flung into the ten thousand year drop, and that leads into game 2.

At the same time, gaiden game going on in medieval mech universe with the MC being the main MC's robot sister created by the late father and thrown there for reasons I have yet to nail down. At the end they end up forming a dimensional bridge that becomes a thing in game 2 and both forces will converge and things go from there. I'll do cast list later cause I'm super busy and just felt like typing and seeing what came out. I'm fully intending people to call it shit cause it probably is but I figured why the hell not.

From the sound of it, AGE could fit (Unknown Enemy) and then you've got X fitting in with it being a post apocalyptic setting.

Beyond that it's up to your preference.

A lot of 80s shows could fit the tragic tone, and definitely build up off of what you've laid down in terms of setting.

Be gentle.
Many a year in the blue planet's past lies an event heralded by the stars as the Birth of Justice, yet loathed by the black holes as the Conception of Chaos. Humanity had reached an apex: of technology, of courage, of war.
From space came the nigh-infinite enigmatic forces of the Antispiral and the STMC.
On land came the feral Gohma and the force of nature known as Vlitra.
By sea were the Deep Ones, putrid reptilian blasphemies, as well as what can only be described as a tidal wave of blood and mucus.
In this great war, dubbed through legend as the Mass Acceleration, man was pushed into collapse.
In a last ditch effort, Jupiter and its mysterious power was converted into a weapon of mass destruction.
In a cry of desperation, a renowned Spiral General fell into madness and imprisoned those on the surface.
In a plea for power, the Demigods betrayed their own General and subjugated the rest to their ego.
In a final gambit, the Scub enclosed the surface of the planet, trapping the horrors of the land under their dormant bodies.
In an admission of defeat, man left Earth in search of new life.

Now, in this new age, man has comeback to Earth and has rebuilt their great society. The history of this planet has fallen into obscurity and legend, only remnants of what once was exist to share their tale.

If I get the time, I want to implement five or ten stages dedicated to this war o'clock background, unlocked by beating the game.

I'm right there with you, pal. My knowledge of stories beyond what's already been in SRW is next to nothing, and I probably still couldn't plot out a decent idea for a SRW.

Best I could come up with for even a concept right now is something like a twin-universe scenario. Two alternate universes starting to crack and bleed into each other thanks to some OG threat. The series would need to be relatively well-split between both universes, with a few parallels in series/concepts.

One universe got Mazinkaiser orSKL, another got Shin Mazinger or Grendizer

One universe had the OYW, the other had the Dragonar or Macross conflict

One universe gets Combattler and Daitarn, the other got Voltes and Zambot

I can't think of many other series that could act as parallels, even in less direct ways. Maybe Iczer vs. Tekkaman Blade for human-sized fighters? Hell, why not make the two originals parallels in that they're a similar concept/energy source, but one universe utilized them in a Super Robot style, the other in a Real Robot style?
>>
>>13520932
Since I'm in a roll I figured I'd keep going with the Gaiden while I'm here.

- Aura Battler Dunbine
- Heavy Metal L-Gaim
- Lord of Lords Ryu Knight
- Turn A Gundam
- *God Mazinger
- Panzer World Galient
- *Magic Knight Rayearth (first season)
- *Orguss 02
- The Vision of Escaflowne
- Junshin Liger
- Zoids Genesis
- *Break Blade (TV anime ver.)

Yes I threw the gundam in the fantasy setting. I felt it would be interesting and the semi steampunk-ness of it all might actually lend it to a fantasy setting better than a post apocalyptic one. Also I forgot to mention I threw Zoids onto the first game cause I forgot that series' plot and it works rather well in what I was going for.

>Requiem for the Lost

The end of the TV show was Dancouga heading to Muge Space to finish the last fight. In Requiem, Dancouga arrives there, gets into a rematch with Death Gaia in his new machine (Zangaioh). They're in an area of Death Gaia's choosing called the Red Space, which regens the mechanical parts of Zangaioh continually, but doesn't affect the organic parts. Zangaioh manages to mostly destroy Dancouga's Flight Booster (after it finally used its goddamn cannons too), but Dancouga rams the booster into it in a suicide maneuver, and finally wins by pulling the Dankuuken for the first time, slicing Zangaioh in half, and standing in the space where its body would regenerate into - since it can't come together, it instead falls completely apart, killing Death Gaia. This breaks them out of the Red Space.

Muge attacks using the souls of the damned that he has gathered in his many conquests, directly attacking the pilots minds and mental energies. This... mostly works, but Ryo hangs on due to something he learned from his martial arts teacher, and wakes Shinobu up. Shinobu gets sort of worried because the attack is also tearing chunks off Dancouga, but Ryo figures out what Muge is doing, and (with the other two pilots awake) they manage to turn the attack against Muge by praying to the dead for aid - the souls around them, but also Alan, Ross, their old instructor, Gerald (that guy who died the day they formed Dancouga who was a FUCKING BADASS) and Shapiro. (goddamnit Sara) Dancouga is coated in a red energy, and it throws the Dankuuken, which flies through space and strikes Muge Zolbados right in the heart, killing him. The day is saved, the heroes arrive home, and we'll neeever see Muge again.

MC decides to visit the nearby town with his niece.
There he meets the members of BIS who are also on business in the same area.
After some discussion, they get attacked by the terroist who attacked the hospital the other day.
In the middle of the fight a new Orbital Frame appears from the factory and defeats the terroist.

New Units - Orcrist

Stage 7
The Targetted Planet

Terrorist Ned tries his newest and most daring plan yet, using children as bomb hostages.
To make things even worse, new forces appear on the battlefield.
Cage's LEV is revealed to be Testament, an Orbital Frame, he then uses this power to defeat Ned once and for all.
Layzner's pilot introduces himself as Eiji Asuka and gives them grave news.
"The earth has been targetted."

New Units - Durandal II, Testament, Layzner

Stage 8
The Invincible Steel Man

Unable to cope with the current situation, Cage runs off from BIS along with Myona.
In the middle of their flight, they get attacked by a new army called the Meganoids only to be saved by Banjou Haran and the Daitarn 3.
The BIS then show up to aid Cage/Banjou and they fend up the Meganoid army.

New Units - Daitarn 3

>God Bless Dancouga

So a few years after Dancouga, most everyone has moved on. Ryo is an instructor for the new Dancouga team, Hazuki still does work with Dancouga, Shinobu leads a band, Sara... does stuff, with a friend of hers who's building a big supercomputer, and Masato's rich so he doesn't need to do anything except prepare Laura for being sexed in a few years when she's not a fucking loli. (Laura, by the way, is getting really bad premonitions of things) Also, there's an organization called "Bandits" running around causing havok, much like "Crime" from Srungle, that sounds a lot better when English isn't your first language. There's a lot of stuff going on here, so I'm skipping some of the minor details, but Shinobu ends up meeting someone who seems very interested in him, and Ryo's been doing mysterious things. (The new team is convinced he has a girlfriend, the old team isn't so sure)

The group meet up again as a big monster (Guzzard) shows up in a city, and the group decide to head out in the Beast Machines to fight it. Guzzard's pretty goddamn tough - according to the giant master computer Sara's friend's been working on, it's very much not from this Earth... a Muge holdout? - and is chumping the Beast Machines, which for some goddamn reason refuse to either turn into Aggressive Beast Mode or to actually combine. That might be because they're trying to avoid collateral damage though, because they bait the thing outside the city... where it ends up attacking the house of Masato's dad and killing him, OOPS. They go Aggressive Beast and manage to halt the thing, which is good because not everyone is evacuated, but at the same time is bad because the thing FUCKING EXPLODES and takes a rather large area with it.

For... some reason, this gets blamed on the Cyber Beast Force, and they get thrown in a gulag, except Sara who's friend manages to take her out. The Bandits manage to bust them out though... (cont)

- Aim for the Top! Diebuster
- *Asura Cryin (season 1)
- Crossbone Gundam
- *Majestic Prince
- Detonator Orgun (rest of series)
- *Zone of the Enders (plot happens mainly before game starts)
- *Zone of the Enders: Logbook of Atlantis (chapters 1 & 2)
- *Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars
- Mobile Suit Gundam Seed
- Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Astray
- Hades Project Zeorymer
- Returning series from both previous games

I wanted to show the theme that, despite damn near detonating the center of the universe and the holdovers of literally every violent alien that was existing at the time, 10,000 years later and nothing really changes. Of course, there's a reason for this plotwise but I don't want to go in to that reason until the 3rd and final game in the series, just to solidify things for good.

>>13520984
I actually had a similar idea, but instead of being caused by the villains, being inadvertently caused by the protagonists as one group tries to meet up with the other and having this affect the worlds, with the birth of some series such as Asura Cryin and Demonbane in a world that is primarily based on science. Sort of an "actions have consequences" kind of thing.

...and it turns out they're not just random terrorists, they're actually Alan Igor's old men. They're about to explain what's REALLY going on, when suddenly the whole group is attacked. They manage to smuggle out the Dancouga pilots at the cost of pretty much the life of the entire organization. The Dancouga pilots go to the bar Shinobu went to earlier, and it turns out the girl he met was Alan's old lover (an explanation is given as to why she wasn't around in the show) and has been working with Hazuki for a while now. The reason is because the Federation is basically only following the instructions of that supercomputer now, and it's basically locking down the freedom of pretty much everyone - and that's not what Alan fought to protect... also, they're fairly certain Sara's friend is being influenced by something else, something that can manipulate dimensions, which is gathering power to create a rift that is about half a day from destroying the Earth. So no pressure or anything. (Their group is attacked as the three go back to collect their Beasts, Hazuki is injured but no one dies here)

So the three go out to stop this thing, and Shinobu goes to rescue Sara. A bunch of shit happens, this one guy who was a bodyguard for Sara's friend turns out to be a ridiculously tough Terminator style machine that gets mowed down by a gatling gun held by Sara after falling into acid, and all four pilots get together to KEYWORD D A N C O U G A one last time. Turns out Dancouga's been rebuilt fully since the movie - the flight pack now comes out of Land Moth (meaning it can use the Dancouhou in a direction that isn't straight up and fly at the same time now), and in general it's now fully Obarified.

They attack where the computer is, dodging laser fire and blowing up some guns, and we cut back to the injured Hazuki, who's starting up a familiar looking engine... (cont)

Back to Dancouga, which gets thrown into some weird space and finds a flight-packless Fake Dancouga coated in green energy. They respond by bringing the red energy back and punching the thing so hard it dissolves. At this point, the cast finds out that Sara's friend has been possessed by Muge Zolbados, and he's been running the computer all along! (TOTAL SHOCK I KNOW) Dancouga premiers the Dancouhou Formation, breaking the computer and his possession, but it's too late - Muge is already starting to manifest fully, and his consciousness exists outside of those. Dancouga breaks out of the giant building holding the computer, now completely under Muge's control and floating into the sky, but in the escape Shinobu is injured and can't properly see. (Ryo takes control to break them out, targeting a weak spot in the wall and then Formationing it)

Muge attacks with lightning and a green laser... demon thing, but it's forced back by the Gandor Cannon, as the Gandor comes with the rising sun on the horizon. They bring out the Dankuuken for the second time, and Sara helps Shinobu aim...

The day is saved, Ryo gets married (it totally was a girl) Mashymere Cello was at the wedding - and is that Alan Igor? Also they totally imply Sara and Shinobu are finally going to hook up, he catches the bouquet and gives it to her (she gets all tsundere embarrassed and slaps him, but he's fine with it) and the OVA ends.

Since we're all still enjoying posting concepts, might as well put down another idea I had for, this time for a set of OGs and their villains. Keep in mind they're ideas from a few years back, so they're pretty murky and unpolished. (Also were imagined for something more like PxZ, but probably wouldn't be too hard to scale up, so to speak)

Yet another male/female pair similar to Reiji/Xiaomu and the rest, two soldiers for special operations under the command of an old general, decorated for his services and a veteran of a few older wars against invading aliens. The male is the sniper/gunner/bomber type while the female is the one to get up close and smash and punch things.

I thought more for the villain than I did for the MCs, really. I wanted to have a kind of sad degeneration of their boss, from a benevolent old soldier to someone who's started to lose himself to age and paranoia. I was thinking the most likely factor would be a number of series that involve non-human/alien good guys that join the team, something he has a hard time reconciling with after alien cruelty he'd witnessed over years of fighting for Earth's sake.

There might have even been a point where he tries to field himself in an old mech himself, only to be sub-par at best, and basically needing to be protected while on the battlefield. (That or losing some of the little family he might have left in one of the story's fights. If possible I would have wanted it to story-wise be left ambiguous as to whether it was old grudges or grief or insanity motivating him towards the end)

Whatever the reasoning, eventually he vanishes from the HQ and that leaves the MCs as charges of the hero group, until we find he's managed to stay hidden while gathering resources and technology (perhaps with another character helping or supplying him since it's probably nonsensical otherwise), and starts to show his face during the last few anti-alien battles of the story. (Con't)

Now his mecha is no longer some dusty old relic or mass-produced unit, but a secret project loaded to the brim with as much weaponry and energy sources as the Earth could feasibly fit together (some having come from studies on alien technology, not sure if he should be aware of that at first or not) and is a total powerhouse of defense and attack. It's entirely possible he'd carry a lot of weight against *insert alien invader boss here*, but never sticks around after the battle.

Eventually his power and beliefs get the better of him, and he'll start up a full assault on your own team, which has too many unnatural, alien elements in it. (By this point he might have started raving against anything that isn't completely natural and terrestrial; Coordinators and Newtypes and the like) So unfortunately, you have to unit your forces against on old boss of the MCs who, for the early parts of the game at least, seemed like an alright guy.

By this point I'm not sure how to make the end fitting, save for perhaps a glimmer of sanity finally getting through his mind and realizing that in this new generation, there's no room for an old soldier still clinging to antiquated views like that; it's time to leave this new Earth to the new generation, and go see the many people he'd left behind over the years, going quiet just before his machine overloads.

Yeah, probably a bit melodramatic, but probably the most half-decent concept I've ever come up with, even if it's a bit of a mess.

Still, it's probably the best idea I've come up with, the only other villain idea I had was basically The Edel Bernal combined with Perfectio, an embodiment of darkness and despair who just wanted to make the lives of everyone horrible just for shits and giggles.

Hey, Matt, another question on your plotlines for the future, were you making any plans for breaking the Mazinkaiser/Grendizer exclusivity, or going for just one or the other? Or neither?

I also kind of want to ask for your opinion on my crappy villain concept above, if you're bored enough.

Thanks for that.

Given my peaks at your concept so far, I'd go with the "Mazinkaiser is Mazinger drunk on Getter Rays" formula somewhere in the Grendizer arc of the Mazingers' stories, but I don't know if that's the way you want to go, or where it would really have a point to be.

...Come to think of it, I never played F/Final, what was the circumstances for mutating Mazinger into Mazinkaiser?

That's when I was going to put it, but the actual plot isn't something I've handled yet. It's too far in the future to concern myself with, really.

>I never played F/Final, what was the circumstances for mutating Mazinger into Mazinkaiser?

Mazinkaiser's been different in all three adaptations of it. Thus far:

>Final: Mazinkaiser gets inundated with Getter Rays (I forget what precisely happened - maybe the anon who just finished Final can elaborate?)
>Alpha: Mazinkaiser is a prototype Mazinger, which no one uses because it's absurdly powerful and acts on its own.
>OVA: Mazinger was the prototype, Kenzo eventually finished Mazinkaiser with its data, then in the movie it got modified to be completely invincible.

...Since people are posting their first few stages, may as well bring out mine. This will go up to the first Sub Scenario on both routes.

>INTRODUCTION:

Twenty years ago, the Side furthest from Earth - Side 3 - declared itself the Republic of Zeon and declared itself independant from the Earth Federation. The Federation shrugged and went "well ok, but you know that means we don't have to trade things like food with you, right?" They were supported, however, by the newly formed nation of Giganos, which encompassed over half of the moon and also declared independence. Also a controller to a giant mecha was found on Earth - this robot was dubbed the "Original Robot" and two scientists (Dr. Rara and Dr. Sonada) began to study it.

Fifteen years ago, the man who declared independance for Zeon and wanted independence for all colonies, Zeon Zum Deikun, was killed. His successor, Degwin Sodo Zabi, began building a military, and redeclared that his nation was the Principality of Zeon. Also, one Dr. Saotome discovered the presence of an ancient form of energy from space known as Getter Rays, and one Dr. Kabuto came back from an excavation of Bardos Island (somewhat banged up) and began working with a new ore found beneath Mt. Fuji and dubbed "Japanium".

Eleven years ago, a large beast suddenly appeared in Tokyo. This beast, dubbed a Kaiju (after the name for it in the Japanese language used there before the formation of the Federation), was destroyed by the use of the most powerful non-nuclear bomb, but the blast took out most of Tokyo. It was at this point that humanity began to seriously look at the Original Robot as a potential style of combat platform, led by one Bian Zoldark, who gathered a number of rich people in the Federation and founded an organization based around the creation of giant robots, known as the "Divine Crusaders". Also, a human girl suddenly showed up in the first of the newly built Side 7 colonies - though no one ever thought to figure out if they were related...
>>
>>13521463
Time to settle in, this ought to be good!
>>
>>13521463
Ten months ago, Zeon and Giganos finally made the last breakthrough in their attempts to build giant humanoid robots. At the same time, a massive meteor tore through the Side 3 area. A great lion mecha began combatting it, and the two went down in Japan, but it was noted that the lion didn't come from space itself. Zeon, taking this to mean the Earth had sent a weapon at them and already prepared for combat, used this as the spark to declare a war on Earth, also declaring that this war was for true independence. Initial fighting lasted one month, and by the end of it most of Sides 1, 2, and 5 were wiped out by poison gas and the Earth was riddled with holes from a failed colony dropping and multiple attacks from Giganos's Mass Driver. Half of mankind's population was GONE. Realizing this type of war and the nukes that had been unfurled would only cause the death of all humankind, all sides got together and signed a treaty in Antarctica banning the use of weapons such as poison gas and nuclear weapons, as well as limiting what Giganos could do with the Mass Driver as a weapon. Unfortunately, this opened the Earth Federation up to a conventional attack by Zeon's Mobile Suits and Giganos's Metal Armors, and their only robot that could theoretically combat this was the Jinrai, which was much larger, slower, and unwieldier than the Zeon suits. Within eight months, the Earth Federation was down to most of South America, Japan, and various frontiers on Earth and in Space as their only remaining strongholds - but Zeon could not pierce those. They were at a stalemate.

(jesus Christ that paragraph took almost the entirety of the character count)
>>
>>13521433
In F/Final Mazinkaiser is a creation between the Phontonic Lab and Saotome Lab also it requires Kouji to allow the Mazinger to be scrapped for parts.
Also that's why Saotome was at the Photonic Lab at the very start of F/Final
>>
>>13521500
On top of these problems, there were a wide variety of others. After the colony drop, massive beasts began to attack, seemingly coming from the depths of the oceans themselves. These attacks were random, but also methodical, suggesting that whatever was behind this invasion was intellegent and may well have been waiting to strike. At the same time, in Japan, Dr. Rara and his wife stole the Original Robot and created many robots from its designs, settling in what was left of Tokyo and declaring a war on Japan and the rest of the world. The Earth Federation didn't really want to handle this, so they allowed the now Commander Sonada to fight the strange style of war this man wanted - Commander Sonada having built three prototype robots, completely unpilotable by all but certain individuals. Fortunately, Mr. Rara's new Empire did not take kindly to any side mounting an invasion - the only invading force sent to Japan by Zeon was duley destroyed by the Original Robot.

And of course, this wasn't all. From deep space, multiple aliens began to move towards Earth - some following the trails of aliens who had arrived a great many years prior, others of whom are about to recieve a message from an inhabitant of Earth itself. Within the Earth, another army began to awaken, disturbed from its long slumber by the colony drop. Dr. Kabuto went missing, leaving his lab in the care of Dr. Yumi. And while it may have seemed unimportant to the world at large, a girl suddenly went missing in the middle of the night, in what would eventually embroil the entire galaxy in turmoil...

Story time is best time
>>
>>13521509
But there was hope. Dr. Sonada's "Core Robots" may have had a variety of issues, but they did display emulatable power, such that Dr. Yumi built a robot with certain similar design aspects and run on his new energy source. Three prototype Metal Armors were stolen from Giganos, and were being taken to Side 7 on the Federation's newest space battleship, the "White Base" - the first of the Pegasus Class, and built for the opening phases of the Federation's "Project V". The army from the depths invasion has been stopped at every attempt by a great mechanical dragon of mighty power and a small series of support craft - all sides have reached out to this dragon, but no one has yet gotten a response. Dr. Saotome is due to test his own new robot soon, the prototype for a vehicle built originally to explore space but now repurposed for war, the Getter Robo. An organization in the new city built to replace the old Tokyo known as G-Island City has been working on robots of their own with the help of the data from the lion mech - this organization, which contains many top minds and heroes of past days, is known as Three G. And one of the beings awoken by the colony drop wasn't entirely unwilling to assist the Earth, it only needed to wait for its pilot to appear...

Two groups stand in the middle of all of this. One is the misplaced student on Side 7, unaware of the great fate in store for her, and the other is a group of Zeonic and Giganosian soldiers, soon to be swept up in a conflict much larger than the one they signed up for...

>REAL ROUTE: Hikaru Kusama
>Though he serves Zeon, he and his squad choose to fight against an evil far greater than either side of the conflict. (Pilots a Zaku 2 Commander Type)

(do know that I might change that Zaku 2 if you can name me a Zeonic machine that would have been around at about the time of the first episode of Gundam that would be better for a leader to have - the rest of his squad has a Deins, a Gigan, and a Dreu modified to have an EWAC)
>>

To help out the deadlock, I'll go back to my original choice and go for Marina's super route.

...Would Zeon really have had anything aside from mostly Zaku derivatives at that point? Shit, that's a great idea.

>Pre-Stage 1 Everything

Dual! PTA's first episode, up until Kazuki gets sent into a parallel world. A mysterious robot notes that the fact that this event happened means that "they" will likely soon invade this world, and it jumps across universes itself, sensing its pilot is on the other side. Two mysterious beings talk about how Earth is about to go through great trials - one notes that it feels bad that it cannot help, power shackled as it is, and the other notes that it can help, but it needs its pilot to appear.

>Stage 1

A group of Zeon pilots with very unfortunate names attack a Side 7 colony when they find evidence of Project V being a thing that is happening there. They're aided by Giganos, who want their Dragonars back. The Gundam rises, the three Dragonars gain their pilots, and in the middle of it all Lympha warps in and chooses its pilot - the emergence of a 60 meter tall mech that controls and creates water that is actively assisting its pilot turns the entire fight from a hard fought one won by machine specs into STOP STOP THEY'RE ALREADY DEAD.

UNITS OBTAINED: RX-78-2 Gundam, Cavalier-0 (will purge into Dragonar 1 in the middle of the scenario), Dragonar 2, Dragonar 3, Lympha.

ENEMY FORCE: 2 Zaku 2s (Gene and Denim), 1 Dein (that one guy Kain kills), 2 Gweis, 5 Dreus

>>13521764
>X5
>that's clearly X3 and not at least X5 (preferably X5B because that actually has "5" in the name of the attack)

Boo.
>>
>>13521779
>Stage 2

Giganos's Mass Driver destroys the colony a la Episode 1 of Dragonar, but not before the White Base and the Idaho pull out. In the remnants of the colony, Char Aznable attacks, but the White Base has a few more mechs it can field.

UNITS OBTAINED: RX-77-2 Guncannon, RX-75-3 Guntank (Rejoice, for it is a two pilot unit!), White Base, Idaho.

UNITS UPGRADED: Gundam (Gains "Super Napalm" and "Gundam Hammer").

ENEMY FORCE: 1 CC Zaku 2 (Char), 4 Zaku 2s (Slender and three unnamed), Falmel (Dren), 1 Dein, 4 Dreus, 1 Giganos Battleship (no fucking clue what they're called, so we'll go with that)

>Stage 3

The force decides to attack a Zeonic supply ship, in hopes that Char and pals will not get resupplied in their continued attempts to harass the White Base. Unfortunately Meio Plato and the Practice Squad also arrive and make life generally hell. Both squad gameplay and capturing are brought up here.

UNITS OBTAINED: Well... none. But you can capture some units, I guess.

ENEMY FORCE: 1 CC Zaku 2 (Char), 2 Zaku 2s, 3 Zaku 1s (Gadem and two unnamed), 1 Falmel (Dren), 1 Falguen (Meio), 1 Jagd Gelf (Karl), 1 Reb Gelf (Welner), 1 Gelf (Dan), 1 Dein, 2 Gweis, 3 Dreus, 1 Giganos Battleship
>>
>>13521678
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/ShoutOut/DigimonXrosWars
>>
>>13521798
>Stage 4

The White Base lands on Luna 2, the Idaho not being allowed to because the civilians are onboard it. The Dragonar boys train with the original intended pilot of Dragonar 1 who's name I can't remember and Shiro Amada, who was soon to head down to Earth but can spare some time to whip people into shape. Of course, Zeon/Giganos attacks. The White Base breaks through, Sanders is the last of his unit left alive AGAIN, Shiro gets into a fight with a mysterious special Zaku and gets dragged off on Turn 3, and Paolo Cassius dies. As does Kain's silly pompadour.

UNITS OBTAINED: None. But you do have the Invinciball on your side for two turns, and Sanders' GM Early Type is there as well. Which brings me to...

SECRET REQS: Keep Sanders alive the whole stage and you get his GM, it's kind of a shitty unit but if you're into that thing over the Zakus you've been capturing it's there I guess. Let Shiro get at least one kill, and you get his Invinciball a bit later in the game - as the name and its showing in the show suggests, it's a Ball with an Armor stat in the 2000s at base.

ENEMY FORCE: 1 CC Zaku 2 (Char), 8 Zaku 2s, 1 Falmel (Dren), 1 Falguen (Meio), 1 Jagd Gelf (Karl), 1 Reb Gelf (Welner), 1 Gelf (Dan), 2 Deins, 5 Gweis, 6 Dreus, 1 Giganos Battleship. Two Zaku 2 High Mobility Customs show up in the middle of the battle (one piloted by Norris, the other piloted by Aina) but Aina's gets taken away, Shiro leaving with her.

>Sub Scenario For Stage 4R

After a battle which takes place mostly offscreen, the Dragonars and the Gundam get flung into space after destroying a Giganos Battleship. They get found by Anton Chekov, who trains the pilots. The Practice Squad shows up without Meio, Chekov dies, everyone is sad, the rest of your squad shows up and you kill everything else.

UNITS OBTAINED: None.

(cont)
>>
>>13521812
UNITS UPGRADED: Amuro, Kain, Light, and Tapp all receive a decent dollop of extra PP. The Dragonars unlock a combination attack, and if you don't do this scenario, it won't unlock until you get the Lifters.

SECRET REQS: This Sub Scenario is a secret req for a later secret - turns out Chekov had a buddy in Zeon who, last he heard, was settling on Earth... on an ISLAND...

ENEMY FORCE: 6 Zaku 2s, 6 Zaku 1s, 1 Musai, 1 Jagd Gelf (Karl), 1 Reb Gelf (Welner), 1 Gelf (Dan), 3 Deins, 4 Gweis, 5 Dreus.

REPEAT PLAYS: No funny plot, the same enemy force except no Practice Squad. Just you, some mechs, and death. Be sure to capture one of those Zaku 1s and one of those Dreus, you're not going to see another until you take the Real route on an NG+ again!

>Pre-Stage 1 Exclusively Real (probably will make this a part of Everything, though)

Zeon and Giganos have been allies for years, but no official cross-army squad has ever been created. The First Squadron is created to change that, built as a squad to go into the field, scout the situation, and make snap decisions - and be capable enough soldiers to execute them. The Zabis send Major Hikaru Kusama, a squad leader who lost almost all of his squad in a surprise attack by the Federation but who nonetheless has distinguished himself, and Zander Beck, an aged soldier who is a specialist at long range combat and was the only other member of that squad to survive. Marshall Guiltorre sends Felicity Amos, a rather normal soldier who has a decent amount of experience, and Akio Kyao - the only one of the four to not have extensive experience, but he's the best Giganos had in electronic warfare and scouting on the field. Their first mission - investigate the test of the "Getter Robo", and if it is a threat, take it out.

>Stage 1

They get within the Dreu and Gigan's camera range of the Proto Getter's test site. The Proto Getter is mostly unarmed, but it still represents a possible threat - before the order to attack can be given out though, FUCKING DINOSAURS OUT OF NOWHERE. They retreat. Meanwhile, Heizeimon Jin finally finds that thing he's been searching for for so many years... Getter Robo and Zambo Ace sortie as a smattering of Dinosaurs and the suddenly emergent Gaizock appear, and the First Squad decide to help them out for now after quick deliberation.

UNITS OBTAINED: Efreet, Gigan, Deins, Dreu EWAC Custom. Getter Robo (GIMPED, cannot transform into 3 and Musashi isn't a pilot) and Zambo Ace/Zambird show up, but do not join.

ENEMY FORCE: 2 Mechazaurus Saki, 1 Mechasaurus Zuu, 1 Mechasaurus Bado, 1 Mechasaurus Sai, 2 Mechaboost Domiras.

Kenzo Kabuto drops dead, Baron Ashura and the Iron Masks having killed him. But in his death, he points Kouji to Mazinger Z... The Zeon squad watches from afar as the Zambull and Zambase show up, as well as the three Beal parts, which combine into the King Beal. They try to figure out whether they should attack or not, weighing "these guys are fighting aliens, man" against "they might join the Federation". The decision is taken away from them as more Mechaboosts descend from the skies. Just before combat starts though, a number of large statues as well as two VERY FAMILIAR TO EVERYONE mecha show up and start wrecking havoc. Getter Robo returns, Hayato having taken Musashi's fear of lizards into his own hands (meaning you can use 3 and he has spirits, yay), and Mazinger Z also comes into play. Oh, and Zambot combines. Aphrodite Getting Destroyed Counter: 1.

UNITS OBTAINED: Getter Robo, Mazinger Z (only has the original five weapons though, mind you!), Zambot 3 (can decombine), and King Beal join for good.

ENEMY FORCE: 4 Mechaboost Domiras, 2 Mechaboost Zidobirar, 4 Talos Statues (BET YOU DIDN'T THINK THE ORIGINAL MAZINGER HAD THESE GUYS, DID YOU? WELL, IT DID.), 1 Mechabeast Garuda K7, 1 Mechabeast Doublas M2.

Not like that, Musashi is so afraid he's more detrimental to the actual piloting of Getter than he is helping. So you can't go 3 and you can't use his spirits.
>>
>>13521942
Shouldn't it be Juuzo Kabuto? Or Kouji's father alive a plot point?
>>
>>13521942
>Stage 3

Ryoma realizes he may have a problem being in a flight based mech in that he really, really doesn't like falling from large heights. This is handled, but the Dinosaur Empire assaults a dam and you have to stop it. On top of that, most of the people are getting kind of annoyed at these giant robots, especially since a) Zeon seems to be helping them, b) Kappei Jin is hellspawn, and c) Dr. Hell's current plans are to make everyone hate Mazinger so they throw it out. Boss shows up, as does Daiya and his friend who's name I for some reason cannot remember.

UNITS OBTAINED: Aphrodite A... without missiles. Yeah, it's pretty much useless.

ENEMY FORCE: 8 Talos Statues, 1 Mechabeast Gromazen R9, 1 Mechabeast Kingdan X10, 4 Dinosaur Jets, 1 Mechasaurus Baru

>>13521950
Ah, fuck me, I got their names mixed up in my files.
>>
>>13521957
>Kappei Jin is hellspawn
How good of a pilot is he in the show anyways? Does he reach Cosmo levels of bullshit?
>>
>>13521957
>Stage 4

Ok so most everyone kind of wants you gone now, but a convenient escape is provided when the Darius Empire shows up, the Daiku Maryu in pursuit. The Gaizock also show up to be Gaizock-ish. Daiya climbs a skyscraper, spears a beast with a harpoon larger than himself, and pilots a 70 meter tall deathmech and all is right in the world.

UNITS OBTAINED: Gaiking, Daiku Maryu (Volution Protect Mode is not unlocked), Stinger, and Serpent.

ENEMY FORCE: 3 Cyclops Grunt, 3 Turtle Grunt, 6 Mechaboost Domiras, 3 Mechaboost Zidobarar

>Sub Scenario For Stage 4R (and if someone points out this is the same title for last one, yeah, that should have been "For Stage 4S", oops)

The Dinosaur Empire figures out that Musashi's piloting is flawed, and seeks to exploit that, but he rises above the challenge. He's still a shitty Get Machine pilot, but hey, you can't decombine into Get Machines yet, they're not even armed for quite a number of episodes (then again I did 29 along with 3 so clearly we're doing things fast and loose here)

UNITS OBTAINED: None. Be warned that this is the last stage you can upgrade Aphrodite A after, next stage she leaves until you get back from your trip.

UNITS UPGRADED: Musashi gets a very nice dollop of PP, and Ryoma and Hayato get a bit too.

ENEMY FORCE: 1 Cyclops Grunt, 1 Turtle Grunt, 1 Grotector, 5 Dinosaur Jets, 1 Mechasaurus Saki, 1 Mechasaurus Bado, 1 Mechasaurus Zuu, 1 Mechasaurus Sai, 1 Mechasaurus Giga.

REPEAT PLAYS: No funny plot, just you and what you were facing in this stage.
>>
>>13521972
I was referring to his attitude, he's a right little shit early in the show.

He's definitely not a bad pilot - he beat 4 Mechaboosts in a very short amount of time, and those four were chosen because they did the best against Zambot in the past - but its important to remember he's been trained since very soon after birth through his subconscious to pilot Zambot.

>Speaking of friendship, I'm still not entirely clear on how those work with combined units. How absurdly high can the not-Dragonar fairies stack their bonuses?
When combined only the lead pilot counts for friendship so they don't stack. Basically friendship levels have no real cap other than how many you can place next to the receiving unit. Basically 4 friendships or 5 as of Eternal since your squad partner counts too. For upto +3 it's only worth a +5% evade/hit boost per level. +4 onwards its reduced to 3% only however boosts defense and damage as well as evade/hit.

Uncombined though Luna Child of the three fairies of light actually has the highest friendship bonus in the game mostly through a glitch. In Eternal it's actually possible to stack them high enough so she has a permanent 66% boost to evade/hit and 50% damage and defense boost. Though honestly you're just better combining since she's weak to begin with.

Letty is actually decent for her cost fairly well rounded for a low cost unit, it's just she has shit join time in the third game and seems unecessary in the second.

Aki sisters are amusing they seem like pure comic relief but they are surprisingly useful at least in Eternal anyway they're actually pretty solid in a squad. In fact if you equip Minoriko with her Lv3 PS which boosts her friendship with Shizuha it grants Shizuha a +5 friendship. That basically grants a permanent 21% evade/hit boost to Shizuha and +5% damage and defense boost. Since Shizuha's combination is ranged for some weird reason you can also give her Lv2 shotgunning for a further 20% damage boost.
