Not really. For the 2014 Fiscal Year, Gundam had total sales of 80.2 Billion Yen. For 2015, with both Try and G-Reco, 76.7 Billion Yen. That is a noticeable drop when they give Try twice as many kits when they gave GBF in the first place, not to mention what amount of that is G-Reco sales..

It's more that the G-Reco units were specifically designed to require unique parts and molds that would make producing them a lot more expensive than something like the Zaft Armed Keeper of Unity. They talked about this in one of the interviews, where Tomino said he wanted suits that were unique and different from prior Gundams to emphasize how the series was a break from others in the timeline.

Zeon wasn't afraid of the nukes because of the radiation, it was because of their destructive power. Zeon had nukes too, but the EF had a lot more. Neither Zeon or the EF wanted it to come to a WMD throw down war though as that's what happened at the battle of Loum and a whole side (As in potentially dozens of colonies) got wiped out. And that was just one fleet battle.

The face is completely fucked up.

Working on the kit now. If the eyes being so recessed in the face bugs you, then there is a stupidly easy mod to bring them forward.

>Remove the clear parts and eyebrow part.
>On the inside of the faceplate is a tab sticking out. On this tab is a smaller tab that prevents the face from moving too far forward and knocking out the lenses.
>Carefully shave down this smaller tabe until it is about level with the larger one.
>The eyes can now be pushed forward into the face until they are level with the surface.

That's one issue fixed pretty easily so far. I have an idea on how to pretty easily do something similar with the eyebrow piece as well to add them back in. If it doesn't work I'll just fill in the holes and paint them in by hand.
