How am I okay with the shoddy effects in Kamen Rider '71, but cringe at the effects in Black? I find Black almost unwatchable because the visuals are so god damn annoying. In '71 there was kind of a charm to the shit budget, but I guess with Black I just expect better after almost 20 years.

Maybe I'm just spoiled by the flashiness and gimmickry of newer series.

Shotaro breaking in somewhere makes sense at least, he's a detective. Eiji, not really, but he's willing to help out anyone in need. Haruto makes the least sense, and I don't know why you'd bring the loudest, flashiest Rider on a stealth mission.

And another thing, why would being wet make the Joker Memory not work? That's just silly.

And why would EIJI run away? He'd be the last person to run.

I've had a few. I once dreamed I was part of some kind of rider-for-hire security team, and we wear hired to be night security guards for some fancy mall. We got to choose existing rider belts for each job, and the first time I picked Gaim's sengoku driver so I could be Gaim for the night, but as I was making my rounds, I found a weird door to another dimension in the building that lead to a victorian castle filled with display shelves full of makeup products. It was like Kamen Rider Kiva fucked Kamen Rider Drake and this was this love nest. Suddenly I felt something draining my strength, and I tried to transform, but my belt wouldn't work because it was also being drained. The other rent-a-rider found me though and pulled me out, just before the door vanished.

It was weird.

I had a second dream with the exact same premise, only this time I chose the Fourze driver and our mall actually got attacked by an army of mooks. Like, every season's mooks were there, from shocker combatmen to low level invess, and we were all fighting to defend our areas from just fucking wave after wave of attacks. I was guarding the side entrance, and there was a huge wave of monsters coming at me, so I went magnet states + launcher + gatling, and did a triple limit break so I materialized giant energy cannons gun turrets and just murdered everything. It was cool, but then my switches burned out. It was fine though because we successfully killed everything.

Most of the Special was Gentaro hearing the story of Gou (after one of them accidentally reveals being a rider to the other) and Gentaro promising to help his new friend smile again.
