Riddhe has a self image as a humble and decent person who believes in the best in people and doesn't want to be handed stuff just because of his family but when push came to shove he found that he wasn't really that good because he got annoyed that Bright didn't care for any of his shit and just saw him as another punk, he wanted to preserve his family's position and the status quo when he found out about the history of Laplace's Box and he wanted Mineva both as a means to ending the Zeon threat and as a newtype companion. When she rejected him and the status quo he was offering he lost it because he thought that both she and Banagher were risking stability and peace on a pointless gamble as well as it being a personal rejection.

The rejection is just the tip of the iceberg. It's really about him not being the person he sees himself as.

Surprise! The format is the difference, OVAs which typically have very high animation quality can get away with having trash for a plot because people are watching for visuals. A TV series, which has lower animation quality because it has to stretch it's budget over more episodes can't get away with having a shitty plot as much because their robot porn is less powerful.

Did you even watch the show? Manny's loyalty always was toward Luin, everything she did was to keep him close, she even tried to get Luin out of killing Bellri and when he refused with arguments her loyalty was, as always, with him.

Luin is by no mean a psychopath at all, he lived his whole life being mocked for being a Kuntala and his pride and butthurt pushed him to take every opportunity to make a difference.

Just done with 0083 and I thought it was overall much better than Unicorn. Far less dull, far more satisfying mecha porn, no space travel bullshit. Nina was proto Reccoa and Uraki was consistently lame but aside from those two it was tolerable to enjoyable, also gave a nice explaination about why the change of tone from 0079 to Zeta was so jarring.
