/pol/ here.
Since you guys are into robots, i have a question for you .
What mechs would Rhodesian had piloted during the war ?
Pretty sure any country in Africa would have been way too poor to afford mecha. Probably the closest you would get are militarized worker mecha of some form or another.
>>13462996
ones built from Rhodesium, the strongest metal from wherever Rhodeisa gives a fuck aboutq
>>13462996
Decommisioned Zaku Is
I'm thinking either shitty Scopedogs or tiny Walker Gears.
It'd be probably like the Kummen Arc in VOTOMS, so whatever Dog the mercs were using there. I can't remember though.
>>13463071
>>13463062
>>13463082
This desu .
Kummen arc from votoms is perhaps close to what you get a COIN mech operation with grunt tier mechs. (08th MS team dosen't count )

So back to >>>/pol/ you go
>>13462996
I actually believe it would be a lot like what we saw in Gundam 00 S1, where the diamond-mining work pods were being used by Africans to fight one another. Never mind that most diamond mining isn't done in a fashion where mobile suits would be useful.
Or it'd be like the other terrorist NGOs were doing in Gundam 00, buying demiilitarized Fantons/Anfs for cheap and throwing them at one another.
>>13462996
Votoms.
Everyday.

I cry every time ;_;7
>>13463218
We're talking about mechs, be quiet child.
This, desu senpai
>>13462996
Well, it's surprising since /pol/ dosen't talks about /m/(including /vr/ and /po/)
Anyway, for your question and apart from what had been said already,
1. Low cost Military Labors (check out the opening cinmeatic of patlabor 2 the movie)
2.Methane powered Wnazers from Front mission (seriously /m/, noone mentioned front mission ?)
>>13463242
I laugh everytime
>>13462996
>>13463286
I just watched Patlabor 2 for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic movie.

>>13463673
if it was an intelligent poster, it would have just asked what mechs Rhodesians would have piloted. "/pol/ here" is just attentionwhoring and asking for trouble.
>>13462996
It'd probably just be a bunch of mechs they stole from other nations.
I don't think a giant robot would be useful in a bushwar.
>>13462996
Get the fuck out of here, dipshit, and take your /pol/shit with you. And stay go
Secondhand HAVWCs with a few KMFs.
>>13464053
Good bump
>>13464034
The enemy would never expect you to use a giant robot in the jungle instead of being sneaky!
They would never see it coming

Bravo General Melchett.

So, what's the deal with Rhodesia?
>>13464705
Good guys lost.
>>13464705
It was one of the most prosperous and well-off nations in all of Africa. It was a British colony, but when the British decided they wanted out a civil war happened when the regional government -which was pretty much white people- declared its own independence from England anyway.
Since it was the cold war, the communists were naturally trying to take over many regions of the globe by sponsoring insurgencies, and this was one of them, so there was war. And eventually, after the war, there was a little more war, then whitey was kicked out and power and Rhodesia was transferred back to native black rule. It was renamed Zimbabwe and it swiftly destroyed itself under the sinister racist incompetence of Robert Mugabe.
So that's the deal with Rhodesia. It's the poster-child for how successful African nations can be if properly governed, and became the poster-child for EVERYTHING wrong instead.
Plus their camo patterns were pretty cool.

Wrecked: the new epic, in as much that stupid people will constantly misapply it to describe situations where it doesn't fit in the least.
What word will be ruined next?
>>13465129

lol this thread

The fact that basically all the major nations cut their ties with/didn't support Rhodesia didn't help, either.

Having two breeds of idiot isn't much better than having one. They're both different sides of one idiot coin.
>>13469704
Especially when they start fighting each other. Few things are more detrimental to the actual subject of a board as when you have two or more factions vying for control of its 'culture.'
>>13469689
>tumblr running rampant on /m/ these days
Christ on a bike, cleetus. What gave you that idea?
>>13469729
This too. Since when has anyone here been "tumblr"? More fools from other boards and /m/ itself have been here than people from a website hardly aware of 4chan's existence as a whole.

Or the "gundam is sexist and racist" posts flooding IBO threads, or people trying to derail SRW threads into talk about abortion. Etc.
And frankly the very fact people are going
>no tumblr isn't forcing their shit in here
when you point out
>boy, people keep spamming /m/ with tumblr shit
seems nearly identical what I saw on /co/ years ago. reeks of
>methinks the lady doth protest too much
We are getting a ton of this shit on /m/ lately from what I can tell, and I'm only saying so since there has been a ton of it in the last month or so.
I'm bitching about people spamming

You take this seriously?
>And frankly the very fact people are going
>no tumblr isn't forcing their shit in here
when you point out
>boy, people keep spamming /m/ with tumblr shit
seems nearly identical what I saw on /co/ years ago.
That seems much more fair.
Frankly I don't really pay attention to memes or the like anyway, but I still don't think any one group of idiots is better than the other. /m/'s terrible mod presence means there's little to be done about it, perhaps, except to chew out such strange visitors.
>>13469894
>You take this seriously?
I'm more concerned about the repetition.
Yes it's done in jest at first. And more and more people will start to pick it up. And then you'll start to get people to believe it.
I agree with pretty much everything you've said though.
>>13469880
c u c k is definitely a /pol/ thing, though, I've never heard tumblrites or SJWs use it much--it's rather the other way around (what /pol/ uses to refer to tumblr).
>>13471749
KEK is /rk9/
It migrated to /pol/ via BLACKED threads.
>>13471775
Ah, that makes sense. Is there a lot of cross-board pollination between /r9k/ and /pol/? It certainly seems that way to me.
>>13463313
FUCK YOU SCUMBAG
Most likely answer is old Soviet mechs sold off alongside AK-47s and RPG-7s in the massive fire sale after the Cold War ended and the Russians desperately needed cash.
