What are /m/'s thoughts on Battlestar Galactica?

Good timing. I just finished the show. Didn't have a problem with where they went with the story but the ending could have been executed a bit better, not bad just needed a few more scenes to flesh things out.

Loved it overall. Not sure why people hated the last season, personally felt the latter half of season 3 was the weakedt.

Started off great, but lost the plot after the New Caprica arc. You can tell that they were literally making shit up as they went along.

Also the ending was luddite bullshit.

Gaeta did nothing wrong.

Seems someone tried fixing the final three part episode to make it not as shit, has anyone seen this yet? From what little I'm able to find on it it seems to have been well received.
