I found some Japanese subtitles for part of the Gaia Gear audio drama, so I did a rough translation for fun and uploaded it to Youtube for you guys and other weebs.

It's pretty cool actually, like watching a Gundam episode with the screen off. It seems to be pretty different from some summaries of the novels I've read though.
By the way, my Japanese is terrible, so if you see anything horrendously bad in there, just mention it. Hopefully Gaia Gear can get the attention of a real translator who isn't looking up every second word in a dictionary.

holy fuck thank you
Wow, good job. Any effort is appreciated! Are you going to do more?

Damn I wish they would animate this.
The mech designs are so sexy,

A Japanese guy kindly uploaded all of Gaia Gear here:

He was also nice enough give the first 3 episodes Japanese subtitles, and what I'm doing is ripping the video and the subtitles, translating the subtitles into English. This is pretty easy because I don't need to use my ears and the subtitles are already timed right, but without them I'm pretty stuck. So I can do the first three episodes, but you'll have to hope that some real translator takes interest after that.

Why don't you just buy the book? It's obviously verbatim.
>>12465782
That's what I was intending on doing, but the books and the radio drama, at least at this point in the story, are almost completely different.
Great! Thanks, dude.

Anon, i love you. Thank you very much,
Dear diary, today OP was not being a faggot.

>Bell is a partial Char expy himself
woaaaaaaaaah

Do both
And the Zeta novels
And the Dunbine novels
And all the Tomino novels.
Thanks.
>>12464741
This is great, please do more!
Kind effort anon, but it looks like Zeonic released it last year...

He had the other episodes from disc 1 one but i guess he took them down...
Shit, he's even got part of the G-Saviour radio drama up... man I really want a translation of that!
I got the Gaia Gear soundtrack somewhere off the net. It is goddamn amazing. It's a shame only like three tracks are up on youtube.
>>12469413
Wow, I didn't even know. It's kind of weird reading the same thing translated by someone else. If they did do any translation of the other episodes, I wonder if they'd let me use them for the subtitles.

Alright, well, upload it to Mediafire or something, please! I'd love to hear it.

"The souls of the dead
wander the stillness of the universe,
become light, and
melt into the milky way."
That's rather beautiful.

What are all these Gaia Gear variants supposed to be?

There it is, just for you.

Not that guy but thank you so much, Anon! You fucking rock, dude.
How many volumes is the audio drama?
>>12468778

Man Gaia Gear has some of the sexiest mecha design in all of UC.
Makes me sad that this will never get animated.
>>12473013
I have a hidden wish. If I will succeed in my future expectations (knock the wood), I will fund Gaia Gear series production.
Episode 2 is up:

I'm pretty tired at the moment so there might be a few mistakes I didn't notice. I'm not as satisfied with this translation as I was with the last episode. Episode 3 might take a bit longer, I'm going to be a bit busier from now on.
>>12469413
Does anyone know Zeonic's email? I couldn't find one on their site. It'd be great if he's translated any of the parts I don't have Japanese subs for.
>>12472633
26 episodes on 5 CDs
>>12473205
Thanks for this, I think the translation came out pretty well. There is a small error at 18:04, you put 'and' twice.
