The Reborns design was supposed to have Gundam, Guncannon, and Guntank modes, as an homage to the original show. The tank mode didn't work so well so it was dropped, which made retaining the Guncannon mode totally pointless.

I like Zabanya's base design but it looks like it's begging for a ground-type variant we never saw. I mean, the joints are all there (shoulder, backpack), just needs a some other addon besides the holster bits.

The base Shaldoll is most likely Ebikawa, so the Shaldoll Scout probably is as well.

I think it works well on Harute since the design emphasis is on speed (so it makes sense to have more weight distributed at the bottom of the suit). But on Zabanya, whose design emphasis is artillery support, it just looks awkward (it should have more weight distributed at the top/front).

But again, I think the basic frame of Zabnaya (without the bits) is fine. It just needs something that complements its purpose a bit better (i.e. like the "shield/cloak" on Dynames).

My most "recent favorite" would probably be any of the MA-Vess from M3, If I had to pick one it would probably be the Gueules because Sasame was so sweet and lovely.. I really loved the mecha designs for M3.

I wouldn't really call it my overall favorite though, that's most likely either the F-22A (Muv Luv), the Berserga (VOTOMS) or even Noblesse Oblige (Armored Core). There's just too many mechs I like a lot to pick a single undisputed #1 in my heart. I guess that kinda makes me a mechaslut.
