I would agree, if it weren't characters who are part of the main cast. You would think characters who have larger "weight" in accordance with the plot would be given deaths with equal "weight". For instance with Emma, she got a final conversation with Kamille that really drove home the theme of war is hell. Having random weightless deaths is supposed to be for unessential characters, like that old goy with the dead kid from Victory gundam. The one who helped Uso out.
