I will admit, I first watched the show because it's going to be in Z3.2, and I wanted context.

I'm glad I did, and honestly it's not like there's much battle-wise one can really adapt from the show since it's so laid-back. You could show every fight and it would probably only take up 3 or 4 stages at best.

He wrote the first and last episode, and was in charge of overseeing the rest of the scripts. You can tell where he left people to their own devices and where executive meddling happens (some of the fanservice in particular is very un-Urobuchi-ish fanservice).

I wouldn't call it bad but Gargantia was a "good" show that could have been easily been a "great" show. It can be frustrating to watch because of this.

Just finished it. I wasn't a fan of Urobuchi's obsession with shitting on utilitarianism that he puts in everything, but I digged the almost Iron Giant-esque message of choosing what to do with your life.

Oh also, Chamber needs to win some kind of award for greatest bro of all time.
