And VVV...the story is one of the worst train wrecks in recent history, with most of the characters carrying the idiot ball like it's some sort of life saving shield. The ending is especially insulting to the viewers and was probably written after an all night crack smoking session.

While MJP wasn't original it really didn't do anything wrong. Instead of trying to change mecha it celebrated its roots and came out a much better product it also managed to subvert some tropes along the way.

Gargantia was just flat out disappointing mainly due to how half baked it was. It's telling that you did something wrong when the only good character is the A.I. who does nothing more put speaks what a logical A.I. would.

The less said about VVV the better though this board can't seem to shut up about it regardless. Everything wrong with modern mecha shows is present in VVV. It serves no purpose other than to firmly establish the bottom of the barrel.
