Both
But, like, really ugly.
>>
That's tough.

I think tracked mechs in general are cooler (they've been my favorite Armored Core set up), but the coolest legged tank would be cooler than the coolest tracked mech.

Please kill me it hurts to live.
>>
>>11685607

Yes, it's a first gen. Those are always terrible in BT.
>>
>>11685587
This is the best thing ever.
>>
>>11685653
It's even better when you realize that Clanners count it as a vehicle for Batchall bidding.
>See my opponent has a trinary of vees
>Wager a star of Battlemechs and BA
>Run headlong into 60 gauss rifles

>>

Legged.

It can jump and step on things.
>>
>>11685561
Legged with wheels like the Tachikomas
>>
>>11685806
you could also climb vertical some surfaces with appropriately configured legs

That series of Quadvees are something I *want* to like, but there's something just off about all of them look.
I guess it comes down to the turret/torso on them being oddly tall?
>>
>>11686905
They're ugly. You can say it, anon. God knows Battletech has been called it before.

I think they are almost intentionally bad looking, though. A combination of clan vees looking fucking weird and first-gen versions of new techs looking ugly as sin.
>>
I wish tank legs in Armored Core acted more like actual tracks. Something about the movement seems really awkward and makes them hard to enjoy.
>>
>>11685561
I prefer mechs with tracks and legs. Tanks that can do that stuff fall into the same category though.

You know, things like Getter Poseidon, Neo Getter 2, the original design of Vulking, and three of the four components of every Dancouga.

tracked mech, becuase it brings me back to the PS2 AC era.
Also Guntank is a cutie.
>>
>>11688965
Besides having no horizontal boost, I don't see what was so awkward about them.

Jebus that would sink on hard ground let alone anywhere softer
>>
>>11689033

Not so much the capability of the legs, more the animation and physics: ACs on tank legs seem to drift about like ice cubes, the direction of movement rarely corresponding to the way the AC moves/the tracks are pointed. You can strafe on tank legs. It's the same with the other legs, but to a much less obvious/more forgivable degree.

I just wish they moved more like an actual tracked vehicle (albeit one with booster jets attached). I can see the engine/gameplay reasons, but I just tend to avoid using those legs as a result.
>>
>>11689048
>those stubby little legs

Kind of cute. But jesus those are horribly inefficient.
>>
>>11685587
Leg form is ugly, tank form I like for some reason.

>>11685561
Leg tanks look cooler, but they probably suck at moving without punching holes in the ground. Gonna have to roll with tracked mechs
>>
Legged tanks, all day, erryday
