Gaoranger can be enjoyable and liked, but it certainly doesn't seem memorable. It was a very paint-by-the-numbers kind of Sentai when I watched through it as GSF! finished it up. Idunno, it's weird. There's not much that feels like I can complain about other than that there wasn't much substance.

What's the name of the song that plays during the first appearances of GoJyuJin/Rex in Gokaiger? Not the vocal song, but the instrumental song. I've checked the OST files and can't seem to find it (On an additional note, we appear to be missing Otakara Sound Box 2)

If your talking about GoJyuJin first appearance in episode 18 the track is called Yume wo Tsuranuke! Goujyujin (Track 11) from the Otakara Sound Box 3 OST.

As for the Otakara Sound Box 2 being missing...it's not. Columbia that releases the albums has a strange way of how they number them. It's usually the OST 1, then they jump to the OST 3 which in some cases has the BGM to the summer movie, then OST 4&5 which is the last one.

Starting with Goseiger vs Shinkenger is when they decided to release the vs film OST.

Starting with Hurricanger is when they started numbering their soundtrack as OST 1, OST 3, and OST 4&5. The OST 3 contains both the BGM from the show and the summer movie so technically the album should be counted as 2&3.

This year is different with ToQger since the only OST that has been released was the OST 1 and on the Columbia ToQger page the only album to be released for the rest of this year is the complete song album even though the OST 3 should've been out by now.

The last album to be released for this year is the complete song album and next year the albums that should be released are the ToQger vs Kyoryuger OST and the final OST for the show.

For this year they probably went how the Gaoranger albums was released which was 2 OST and the complete song album.

The timing and typesetting on this could/should be better. The dialogue is way too low for comfort and it looks like they've only increased the font size with off Aegisub's default. I'm also not a fan of "family" for Sentai considering, but whatever.

That's the first episode of Kyoryuger. I'd say it sounds about as natural as anything in this preview. There's no actual conversation in this, which is the best judge of how natural sounding a translation is. There's only a narration, which say things people wouldn't normally sat all the time, and the Mother saying something obviously gravely important, which lends itself to a certain less casual speaking style.

You know, thinking on it, Iv'e come to really not like Magical Family Magiranger as a translation for the show. It's mainly because of a (at least to me) climactic scene in the final episode.

It's when they all come together at the end and transform for the final fight against N-Ma. They literally do say they're the Magical Family and then the team name in the role call. (我ら魔法家族! 魔法戦隊! マジレンジャー!) This is the first time all 8 of them are together at once after spending the whole show either trying to get back their mom or trying to make Wolzard remember he's their dad after he was rebrainwashed. They're finally all together as a family, it's a big moment and they declare it right there to the final boss. I feel like trying to work around the fact it'd be stupid as hell to say they're the Magical Family twice in a row could ruin what's supposed to be a climactic point in the finale unless the translator/editors are really skilled.

It was so much CGI slashing and shooting effects without a whole lot of actually neat choreography, because apparently Sakamoto can't do wirefu on a weekly budget and settles for panty shots instead. Seeing the twist in Super Megaforce's 'The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer' made me think... the original Gokaiger episode really should've been between Don and Joe, not Don and Luka. Those two always seemed to me a wasted opportunity, there was not a single episode focusing on the two of them alone together (Super Hero Taisen doesn't count) when it could've been very interesting seeing how they were polar opposites, Joe being the serious, strong warrior and Don being the goofy, fearful smart guy.
