Mechanics section has delicious new mechs
If anyone wants the raws to the prequel chapters, I have them bookmarked as well as saved (PNG screencaps). Took a bit figuring out how to access the earlier chapters since the link is only ever updated to the latest.
This guy seems to be the douchebag behind Ange's exile, what with him being gleeful at her inability to use magic.
I just think Ange is always angry in general. Sh'es even pissed off in her megumi magazine fanservice spreads.
It really looks like the mechanical designer looked at some bike-style sex machines and decided that it'd be perfect for a cockpit setup. Then again, I and many others said the same thing for Guren MkII's cockpit.
>I just think Ange is always angry in general.
Well, she is pretty
She was ripped out of her cushy royal lifestyle and thrown into a fight-to-the-death against dragons where a portion of the people she fights alongside either dislike her or outright hate her, it's not like she's always angry for no reason.
Sounds like she could become Dutch by the end of the show.
Like, she kills a dragon and says sweet one-liners like "Exit stage left, mother fucker" (singing, get it?) or she tells her companions awesome shit like "get off the rag, slut" when they're all angry and shit.
> Akiko Shikata OST
> "rondo" as part of the title
> That musical staff in the logo
Yeah, I think so.
It has Akiko from Ar Tonelico, and a major music company backing it, IIRC. If anything, it's going to be Tales of Ar Tonelico EscaflowneGear. Even the PV song was full Ar Tonelico-esque.
>The whole cast are basically heretics forced to fight in battle suicidally, so why bother with armour?
> why bother with retardedly ELABORATE fanservice suit when #2345 generic cheap pilot garment will do?
You should ask Kajishima the same question.
I know, it's when people try to explain the unexplainable that rub my autism out
Maybe three episode rule, but I will abandon it if it breaks my fanservice threshold disregard of it's writing quality.
I dunno if that's a good idea. Most of them are covered in pointy bits that look really fragile.
Ah, there's an actual reason. I thought they went from racism to cooties for a second there.
I don't think these are meant to be turned into plamos. I would guess that their sponsor's business is selling CDs.
One more then I'm going to bed, and I'll drop the rest of the mechs later.
Naw man, that was different. They only fought because of the circumstances and harbored no ill will towards each other, in fact Nanoha was trying to be friends the whole time and Fate was just doing what her mother told her to because she didn't know any better. Now Ange and this red girl, they look downright pissed.
It makes up for it by having the best jet form, IMO.
But yeah, plamo never as that stick apparently stis right in a ball joint which is supposed to carry the load of the stick and of the revolver cannon.
There are actually three base models, the Glaive, the Arquebus, and the Hauser. The only mass-production one we're shown is the Glaive, though. On another note, I find it interesting that the Hausers have single calf muscles while all the others have double.
>Hey guys check out our new mecha show!
>In which only women can pilot the mecha and do so while wearing borderline bikini suits
>Also the mecha can only be piloted in suggestive poses.
>When their mechs get hit they squeal and make noises akin to climaxing
I'll probably last like 3 episodes before I simply can't take it anymore.
Seems to me like it'll be this decade's Divergence Eve; tries to take itself seriously while showing blatant cheesecake at the same time. Only this time, with more skin shown.
Pile up enough exceptions, and the rule itself starts to seem a bit shaky.
To this day I still don't know what motivated them to make this show. Not saying it's bad or anything, but who the hell looks at Idolmaster and thinks "you knows what that needs? A mecha show that has nothing to do with anything. "
Considering it was done by Sunrise, let's not forget they have a history of people not listening to orders.
I'll say. Even Mazinger Angels fits that criteria, even though the designs are classic!
When their mechs get hit, they die. Dragons don't fuck around.
>having a female MC I can't help but to remember soukou no strain
Seriously? Paltabor, Gunbuster, Escaflowne, Geneshaft, Neo Ranga, Gatchaman Crowds, GitS...
Also Strain wasn't THAT bad. Or at least, its flaws weren't because of the MC
if anything her having half a dozen dead boyfriends really helped the plot move along
Variable Fighters are the size of their corresponding aircrafts, which makes them about twice as large as any of these here.
These are about the size of early Wanzers, Aura Battlers or Escaflowne mechs.
Oh, you're right, I misjudged the cockpit size on the images posted. I looked back at the PV stuff and yeah, they're tiny. And have next to no armor protecting the pilot, these things are deathtraps.
>Parameiru that would Anjou to boarding. There is a problem with the output system, the control system, the aircraft of old that had been left in the hangar. Maneuver is difficult, but I have a high potential.
So instead of a super prototype, MC pilots an outdated mech that collected dust.
The Xenoglossia commander was so weird. The way he acted and specially the way he talked were really boring, like you could fall asleep having a conversation with him. But then there was that time he punched a dude in the face. That's literally the only scene of his that I actually remember.
This is wonderful. The more other studios attempt mecha, the more Sunrise puts out mecha to cover and counter all bases.
And on top of it, Sunrise is working on a Mai-Hime anniversary project, which I'd take even if it's just an HD remaster.
She had everything taken from her. Does that include her virginity?
GuP? fuck no. It's cheery goofy comedy plus exciting, well-directed sports battle anime with great music and a fun cast. Sure, the CGI is cheap as hell but it works because of the direction. Best cute girls doing cute things show ever.
Except we do. Pic related. I like this robot.
GuP's main flaw was not being about cute girls enough, honestly. It spends so much of its limited one cour runtime on tanks and battles most of the cast ends up royally underdeveloped.
>I was a pro level mecha designed when I was 13
If you'd stop being so insta-buttblasted reading into things literally you'd realize there was nothing there to infer dislike or better could be done.
It wasn't even a criticism, it was a observation which you can't seem to differentiate between.
can we talk about how she's going to die 4 episodes in and get zero fanart?
Actually, the slutty design (mainly for the tattoos) should get the attention of artists that are into drawing raunchy prostitution doujins and stuff. But everything depends on how popular the show is overall.
So I take it the answer is because it's cool?
This one still has not surfaced...
More like a fancy club or something but rule of cool applies.
