The shape of the upper body is very similar.
no either for either
we have pictures of the HG but no actual dimensions of the HG yet.
as soon as someone gets a model to review and measures it, just multiply by 144 to get in-universe size of the gundam
If you mean it's a more conventional setting with more conventional robots, then probably yeah. As far as I can tell, the tech levels are about the same as UC, with differences probably because of lack of resources.
Found the pic, the lower right one with 4 red eyes. Supposedly called "Hecate".
I want HG models of all of those.
While that's probably not the case I wouldn't be surprised if they are. UC suits around 0087 to 0105 are the biggest units in the entire franchise on average. Most AU suits are smaller than everything pre-F91.
This is more in line with the Gundam design philosophy post Tomino.
Turn-A was the last "big" Gundam we've had. It's just that we've mostly had Okawara designs which are fatties, then we suddenly got a bunch of Katoki anorexic designs which make them all look super tall.
>makes me sad that my plan of splitting the fanbase isn't working.
Gee, Whiz, troll. I don't know what would spark more attention; a freshly revealed series, or a series that's been out of the box for about two months now? I WONDER?
We've analyzed and overanalyzed every piece of info about G-reco we could get. Fact is, there's little information about the series as is beyond the characters and some of the mechs, and the last significant information we got was nearly a month ago.
Most of MS looks like a plastic toys. Bandai don't even trying anymore. Hope story will be interesting.
A Cataphract is a kind of armored cavalry used by the Romans, the Byzantines, some of the barbarians, and several Greek states. The word comes from the Greek 'kataphraktos' which means 'fully enclosed'. Both the rider and horse are completely covered in armor, and the rider carries a very long lance.
really? you thought kataphracts sounds that exotic? tell me what the fuck is a "wanzer" then. sounds like somebody who masturbate a lot or something.
i only looked up about cataphracts because i used to play MWO. which's strange cause i played mount & blade for the longest time and never really cared.
I want to watch this while it airs, but only started Gundam recently and haven't even finished 0079. I wanted to watch all of the shows in release order, but I doubt I'll be done with it all by the time this begins. What'll be most essential to have seen before this? Do you think I could just pick it up regardless of what other Gundam shows I'd be watching at the same time?
This is probably the case that this series would not need prior knowledge. Because this isn't trying to copy UC; it IS sequel to UC.
All you need to know is that there was war for hundreds of years and now in the new world a thousand years later, people are struggling for resources. There would likely be minimal direct links with past shows.
>Wait what is the 3rd box saying?
>It will change colors?
>It will glow when subjected to UV light?
I think in the RC universe a lot of MS have glowing panels. So they use special plastic to portray that. Just a way to portray something futuristic.
No, you eff off. People like you need to stop pushing disunity in the franchise: I'm watching both and I already like both because both have their upsides.
>BF is just fanservice so UCfags, plebs, and AU fans can all enjoy it.
The fact that you don't like fans of different series enjoying BF illustrates your ignorant and arrogant stance.
Bandai is fun in that they don't realise that gimmick is generally a negative term in english. I imagine if you have properly localised boxes they'd have "feature" written instead.
What i'm most excited about is the first box, which more or less says they are improving part color separation to reduce the amount of places where in the past they used stickers to get the correct color, as demonstrated there by the blue parts in G-Self's leg, all that blue is a separate blue plastic part instead of a shitty sticker.
The UV material is like, maybe it glows under blacklight?
Anyone else think this is ugly? The head looks like a bug. The shoulders looks like they drew a polygon and put lines everywhere.
Looks good though. I like how unique they look. Honestly, I'd prefer if >>11089090 was the gundam.
This is Luin Lee, he's a Kuntala.
Back when humanity bottomed out his people were used as food.
Have you seen Turn A? Or King Gainer? Tomino's Gundam and Gundam-esque stories just don't go that dark anymore. In the end, people finally find the peace they were searching for.
UC is remembered as being a time of war. Most of the planet's resources have been used, driving most life to extinction. The RC only has about a tenth of the population that UC did.
Not a prayer - won't stop people from saying it's coming every day until it finishes airing. Just like AGE. Just like Build Fighters. Probably happened with 00 too.
> Deep Space Gundam when
God I only wish anon. I'd love to see a Gundam show that moved beyond the solar system while retaining the same basic motifs and themes.
Not necessarily, it could feature them moving back and forth if the technology is good enough. Happened in 00's first season after all. Pilots went up and down to Earth once or twice in the first dozen episodes. The space elevator makes it easy to have them travel back and forth between Earth and near Earth orbit at the very least.
>For fuck's sake, UC never got better then?
It sounds like the UC wars finally ended when they ran out of the capacity to fight.
And then just like Japan after WW2 ended, the citizens suddenly realised they are all going to starve to death, because the wars left nothing behind for their survival.
Douglas MacArthur's first morning in occupied Japan started with only a single egg for his breakfast; there was simply no food left.
It just justify why there is tech regression in RC. Above all else, humanity ended up with very little to work with to build itself back up.
>The Cuntara are the people who became food when mankind turned to cannibalism at the brink of extinction. They represent the problem of racism, the horrors of the collapse of society, and the depths of human sin
Tomino is trying to both show how bad it gets, but also try to show there was hope. Humanity survive this dark time, and clearly the Kuntala got their human rights back eventually. Clearly rationality did prevail.
Humanity went insane, but we got better. And in the show this is represented by the last of the three surviving space elevators, which humanity restored.
I would be VERY sad if they blow it up in RC. Because that practically means all the progress humanity made is undone. And that UC style eternal war would return.
And no, I don't consider Turn A a definitive future. I consider it one of the possible timelines. I rather think humanity can finally get better and not just kill itself off, after clawing back from the dark pits of barbarism.
Turn-A's past was about humanity wiping out all technology using their own creation and damning the world to millenia of dark ages because of it. Then started off with a kid singing "Mary had a little lamb" while holding a goldfish as he does an orbital drop and getting a job working a mine. Also, using war machines for laundry, identity comedy, cross-dressing situational comedy and so on.
Welcome to Tomino - enjoy your stay.
>Food dude gets with one of those three? How do we know this?
It's in the character descriptions.
As an existing 2ndary couple, I expect one of the two to not survive the show. Sadly it is likely the girl who gets to die, as usual.
I think it's actually the one next to him in the pic.
His description says he has a gf named Manny, hers says she's a cheerleader.
>Because children in puberty watch anime. From Triton he learned that there's a strong possibility of anime speaking to children in puberty. Even if it's fantasy, a good story will make the viewer think of how to apply what they have learned to real life. There is a circuit in there that leads to the real world.
welp, he went nuts with this project just like MSG back then
Oh man, this is gonna be fucking great.
I feel like I've seen that guy in blue before. Not in an anime, though; I think it was either a movie, a manga or a graphic novel.
This is gonna bug me until I figure it out.
lineart showing he has a hidden evil persona
That idyllic looking house in the bottom right gives me hope we''ll have some episodes in the vein of Annie's Cow, to highlight the cost of war. I really hope there's something akin to the episode of Dianna working at the war hospital though. That was very effective at showing the human price of it despite how little it showed as well.
And then once things heat back up again the house and residents are turned into a smoking crater to show the fragility of life.
If the rumors are true, this show is envisioned as something of a cautionary tale or fable - I expect plenty of nice moments but much more "this is what will happen if you drop the ball" events that revolve around taking nice things and tossing them into a meat grinder.
>this show is envisioned as something of a cautionary tale or fable
Except the mistakes have already been made. It's about what kids a half-century in the future will have to deal with because of carelessness today.
Evil seems like a leap, though I don't doubt he's hiding some hate.
>Except the mistakes have already been made. It's about what kids a half-century in the future will have to deal with because of carelessness today.
And it looks like we're getting at least a side helping of idyllic life - which wouldn't be much of a warning if it didn't end up going up in flames at some point or another.
>Those girls are pretty cute.
I am hoping ALL the major girls live.
Somehow, I feel it would be wrong thematically if RC followed the same story structure as past UC shows. Isn't the entire theme of RC is to NOT be UC MKII?
If we end up with the usual war that ends with cyber newtypes, dead girlfriends, and the destruction of the space elevator or colony drop, I would be disappointed. If anything Tomino should do what 00 did with Soma, and subvert the old formula to prove things can go differently.
Because if they can't stop copying the past, the people of RC is doomed.
>It is technically the next entry in the same universe.
No its not. There's G-Savior. Why do you think the names are "G-Self", "G-Arcane"?
No, I refuse forgive you.
You will have to redeem yourself by watching G-saviour 100 times before G-Reco airs.
Because G-naming already exist on the first gundam and it means nothing because G-saviour also use it?
Exactly. Tomino finally gave in and admitted that G-Armor is canon as fuck. Just like G-savior
>Because if they can't stop copying the past, the people of RC is doomed.
The show might be going for that, at least partially.
>These guys couldn't being themselves to act in the interest of the future and as a result they all died and things went back to being horrible after a short interlude of things being pleasant
>But you kids won't do that, right?
I mean, I'm not expecting that the show will be anything really grim but I'd be surprised if "they didn't plan ahead and because of that they suffered horribly" doesn't crop up at least once.
